United StatesA bit outside of Maumere (about 20-25min by bike, 30 by car), so nice and quiet except directly on the road so there was traffic noise. The fan in the bedroom was nice for keeping airflow but just wish we had another blanket (we could have asked earlier but at night there were no staff around). The staff were super nice and helpful and moved us to a better room. Online only the deluxe double (room with 2 double beds) was available but there were rooms on the water with just 1 double bed so maybe WhatsApp them for availability as opposed to booking online. Not many people around so the staff close up around 6pm unless you’re eating dinner. Not much for snorkeling that we saw, but maybe if you swim out a bit. Right on the shore is mostly rocks.
Beds: had a mosquito net if you are into that. A little too soft for us but great pillows and clean and comfortable.
Bathrooms: Hot water! Like super hot. Our first true super hot shower in a week! Great water pressure and clean and nice. All around a great stay along our journey around Flores.
Great sunset spot!! Beautiful!

CanadaThis was easily the best stay on our trip to Indonesia. The staff are incredible, and you won’t want to leave. It is even more beautiful in person, and the food is fantastic (even for vegetarian!). It was my husband’s birthday while we were there and they made it so incredibly special. We rented a scooter and explored the coastline which is so beautiful and not touristy. Any hotel can be nice but the people in it make it special. Can’t wait to return !

Beautiful, clean resort. We stayed in the beachfront cottage, which we can highly recommend. It was nicely decorated, had a spacious bathroom and a gorgeous view. The AC guaranteed cool, calm sleep after a day at the beach. We especially liked that there are no buildings around the resort, so you can go for a little walk at the natural beach. You can also take a kajak. The staff was very friendly.

beautiful resort, although I was one of the few guests the staff was always there to help and to take care and the rooms and other facilities were clean and well kept. great value for money. also diving and snorkeling on the premises and possible snorkeling in front of the resort. I had a lovely time.

This resort is fantastic, and exceptional value for money. The rooms and food are great and the staff are fantastic. This was my third visit to Maumere / Flores and we will definitely be staying at Budi Sun again when we return.

This resort is in a super quiet location on its own section of beach. The rooms are quirky and clean. We loved the outdoor bathrooms.
