I had the most incredible stay at Pugmarks Jungle Lodge in Wayanad, and it was truly a highlight of my travel experiences. Surrounded by the beauty of nature. The accommodations were charming and comfortable, perfectly blending rustic charm with modern amenities. I stayed in the newly built tree house, which offered stunning views of the surrounding forest. What made our stay truly exceptional was the owner Mr.Gopa Varma, who went out of his way to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. He personally took us on a night safari and a morning walk, sharing his deep knowledge and passion for the local wildlife and environment. During the walk, I was lucky enough to spot wild elephants—a moment that I will cherish forever! His enthusiasm and dedication to providing a meaningful experience were truly inspiring. The activities at the lodge are perfect for both adventure seekers and nature lovers. From thrilling wildlife safaris to peaceful nature walks, every activity is curated to connect you with the stunning wilderness of Wayanad. The food was another highlight—homemade, delicious, and tailored to different tastes. The warm hospitality, combined with the unique opportunity to explore nature up close, makes Pugmarks Jungle Lodge a must-visit destination. We reached the resort on our own (self-driven), a little behind schedule. We were greeted by the GM (Mr. Ratheesh Nair). They were expecting us. The check-in procedure was a breeze and was expedited by the Front Office Manager (Ms. Shalini). The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to be of assistance. Room: The room was well appointed and the airconditioning, linen, toiletries, and mini-bar were well equipped. F&B: The buffet meals were well placed. However, the menu was the typical "pan-Indian" one. We were looking for typical Kerala cuisine, so we restricted ourselves to "a la carte". the staff gave us good advice on what combinations, and portions to order, and to put it in one word the food was "outstanding". Activities: Mr. Ratheesh and Ms. Shalini gave us good advice regarding the timings and what trips to take and that came in very handy in deciding the trips to take. Housekeeping: The housekeeping was efficient and the rooms were kept nice, clean, and well-equipped. Indoor Activities: The pool table, badminton court, and board games were maintained very well.

This was by far one of the best stay experiences that me and my family enjoyed. Primarily it was for the staff employed at the property. Right from the reception through the kitchen, housekeeping, safari guide you name it and they were always there to take care of us in an impeccable way. Harish who mostly takes care of the reception was brilliant and also went out of his way to accommodate all our requests. Same goes for the kitchen, entertainment, housekeeping each and every employee there. Naming only a few of them is just impossible. We would definitely recommend the property for everyone and would love to visit again. I really can't put everything in words to share the wonderful experience we have had there. The food was great too.
