The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout my stay. I loved the eco-friendly water bottles provided in the room, such a thoughtful touch and really convenient for walking around without buying plastic bottles. I’d definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it to anyone and especially female solo travelers looking for a relaxing and calming place to stay.

The 2 bedroom was exactly what was pictured and was an ideal stay for us with kids. The staff and owner were pleasant and proactive to welcome us and ensure we were in a clean comfortable space. I would come here again as it was value for money. It's next to Kijani cottages which has many amenities for kids to play.

This was such an amazing stay! First of all, our apartment was nice, clean, comfortable and overall great for a few nights near the beach (not more than 5 mins on foot with a brisk pace). The setup of the villas is in a beautiful private garden located in a silent guarded compound and felt very safe and tranquil. Most importantly though, Hans, the host, was simply amazing and really dedicated to making his guests happy and satisfied with the stay. Hans was somehow always there when we needed anything or wanted to ask some questions but he was also completely unintrusive of our privacy - whenever we felt like being alone, we've had complete privacy like in a quality hotel room. From the moment of our arrival, we felt exceptionally welcomed in Lions Home and spent some pleasant time chatting with Hans in the evenings after enjoying the beach area around (while Hans supplied the local beer in a chilled glass from his fridge). Anything we needed to know about the area, Hans was able to advise. I travel a lot and can say that such a great host is really a gem, one in a million. We also fell in love with Hans's cute and friendly dogs - Hans first assured whether we're comfortable with dogs around and as we were, we've had pretty much unlimited access to cuddling those lovely little creatures. The breakfasts were also delicious! Overall, this stay was a highlight of our travels around East Africa and if coming back to Diani Beach, I'm not looking further and coming back to Lions Home for sure.

Peter and Eliza (House manager and housekeeper) met us at the gate and were very hospitable and helpful. Attentive to all our needs, flexible, and going above and beyond to help us find a driver or to offer suggestions for activities. Location ideal walking distance for getting to Yellow Fins for diving!

Truly stunning property located just steps from the beach. Loved every minute of our stay. The only feedback I have is regarding the comfort of the mattress–great if you like extra firm. I think us Americans are used to a little more plush/memory foam. Other than that, I highly recommend Mzima.

The villa is in a mostly quiet location, just a 10-minute walk from the beach. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service from the cook, Rashid, who prepared absolutely delicious meals for us every day. The villa is perfect for larger groups, thanks to the multiple bathrooms—almost one for each room—ensuring there were no waiting times. The private pool was another great feature, allowing us to enjoy a refreshing swim even in the evening. I highly recommend this villa to any large group looking for a comfortable and enjoyable getaway by the coast.

Staff and the place were so lovely

The hotel is small and quiet, not a huge noisy resort. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The beach in front of the hotel is one of the best sandy beaches in Diani and it's very easily accessible. The sunbeds are very close to the beach and well distributed. Also you get plenty of shade. The cocktails were very good and cheaper than most places. The room was clean and spatious.

Everything was exceptional from the food to the staff they sent me home with a free bag of laundry as the housekeeper folded my laundry as well! The food amazing the location great and the stage remarkable
