I'm short on adjectives to describe this beautiful accommodation! A lovely place to relax, just a few meters from Don Det. And I don't want to go on about the good food and how excellent Laymon and Alex are, because I should write a book. I should clarify that it's easily accessible by boat, so there's no question of whether staying on a small island is a problem, because it isn't!

Excellent location! It's right near the boat dock and near the stores, restaurants, travel agencies, bars, etc. of the town. It felt homey and welcoming, and it's set back a bit from the main road with a courtyard space with some hammocks in front of the hotel buildings. My room had its own entrance, a porch with a table, ac, and the shower was consistently very hot. The owners were always onsite and helpful. They book travel excursions and bus tickets through the hotel, and they have a restaurant as well (I didn't eat there, so I don't know how the food is). It was a really comfortable room, and I loved the vibe and the location!

Comfortable bungalows right by the river. I loved bring able to see the water from the terrace or even right from my room. AC worked well, decent internet, good hot shower. The room had an electric kettle and even a fridge. It included a full breakfast in the morning with bacon, eggs, whatever you want. You can find cheaper places but I was very happy with this one and I'd stay here again.

Of the area it was to us the best — a pristine pool and a nice shaded area on the river for watching the sunset. Breakfasts were generous and the staff super helpful (with excellent English). We walked to the two different waterfalls on different days, and it’s easy to pop over the bridge to Don Det. Lots of restaurants in the area, too. Dry relaxing

The location on the river was great for watching sunsets. The pool was a great size with plenty of loungers. The room was big and had a refrigerator. The shower had plenty of hot water.

Sala Done Khone Hotel is a 40-minute drive from Khonephapheng Waterfall. Offering modern accommodations, the hotel features a tour desk, pool and shuttle service.

We stayed in one of the floating studios. It’s on the water with amazing sunsets and moonlight views reflecting off the water. Views r to die for in the deck and from the bed! Everything is clean and the bed is lux. It’s so worth it watching the boats go by while swing on the deck or lying in bed.
