This place is absolutely beautiful and the prices are super affordable. Complement to the chef for an amazing sri lanka breakfast ! The live performance for 3 weddings were amazing! The people are beautiful inside out. I appreciate the kindness. First time I've travel to a foreign country and didn't feel like an outsider even though I don't speak the language! Location is close to everything. Book this hotel, you won't be sorry! I wish all hotels are like this one. Marriott service with motel prices. Can't beat it anywhere else. I will definitely be telling everyone about this place and I promise to come back. Thank you for making sri lanka a #1 place to visit on my list.

We wandered the hotel grounds looking for birds, and encountered so many species, from kingfishers to eagles, just on the first day alone! Staff were very friendly and helpful; they arranged transportation for us, helped us track down more of the tropical fruit they served on the menu (the mangoes were amazing), and have connections for a variety of excursions.

The property, location, and staff all exceeded our expectations. It was clean, comfortable, spacious, and deeply quiet. The shower pressure and hot water was amazing! The staff were attentive to our every need. The food was great with a lot of variety. The pool was a simply magnificent experience every day. We felt deeply rested and recharged from our stay at Ahas Gawwa. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to get off the tourist trail and experience Sri Lanka in all Her hospitality and wilderness.

The staff was amazing and very helpful. Location was great, we were surrounded only by woods. The room was clean and pleasant. Especially travellers would appreciate a huuuge amount of power sockets. We counted 8 :)

This place is a cozy getaway from the busy life in the city. The staff were very attentive and supportive. Restaurant is nice and accommodating to large groups like families. Food was delicious, portions generous and price affordable. Breakfast buffet was nice with a range of Sri Lankan food available. The place is a huge with ample space for kids to run and play. Note that the property is huge hence might be tricky maintaining during the rainy season. Thw number of water ponds around, the dead silence and the riparian trees, the the cozy darkness surrounding the atmosphere add this strange feeling of being isolated from the rest of the world, which I love the most while being on a vacation. The pool was very clean and well maintained. There's a kids pool as well which is only 2 feet deep. Sad we had to leave and will definitely go back to spend a couple more days.

We stayed at Leon Hilltop Resort, Kitulgala, and it was a truly memorable experience. Although the owner was not there in person, he made sure everything was perfectly arranged for us. He arranged for Sampath to meet us before the location and assist us to the property, which was very thoughtful. Sampath was extremely helpful and friendly. We were warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink upon arrival. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. While the resort doesn't have its own restaurant, they asked what we wanted for dinner and even brought it from outside during heavy rain, something we truly appreciated. For breakfast, we requested string hoppers, and they kindly arranged rice, bread, and string hoppers. The place is peaceful, very clean, and offers a stunning mountain view. The entire staff, including two other team members whose names we unfortunately didn’t get, were kind, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The owner also kept in touch with us throughout our stay to ensure everything was going smoothly. This experience exceeded our expectations and was absolutely worth more than what we paid. Even though we are locals, we were treated with the same care and respect as any guest which is rare. After a tiring field visit to Makandawa Forest Reserve, the calm atmosphere and excellent service made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone at Leon Hilltop Resort. We highly recommend this place!
