I had an amazing stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The room was beautiful, very clean, and I had a private pool which was absolutely stunning and well maintained. The view was breathtaking and made the experience even more special. What really stood out to me were the details. The hotel really makes you feel the full vibe—even the water bottles had a tiger design, which was such a unique and stylish touch that reflects the whole theme of the place. The food was delicious, and the chef did a fantastic job. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and welcoming—especially the front desk team who were very professional and kind. A special thanks to SAYURI at the reception—she was incredibly kind, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay. I also booked a safari trip through the hotel, and it was such a great and memorable experience. One of the most special moments was during dinner when they surprised my sister with a birthday cake, which was such a thoughtful and lovely gesture. During check-in, I had an issue with my card, but they handled it very kindly and allowed me to go to the room and settle in, and pay later once the issue was resolved. I really appreciated their understanding. Housekeeping was excellent, and the spa was beautiful and relaxing. Overall, it was a perfect stay and I highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely come back again.

We loved our 2 nights stay here! The property is lovely and just as pictured. The room was spacious and clean. The staff organized the safari trip for us and after a half day safari we were able to enjoy the facilities at the resort. They have an amazing pool, archery corner, basketball court and even a mini golf court. The staff were absolutely amazing and so accommodating and lovely. The food was also really great and they were willing to adjust them to our dietary requirements. Big shoutout to Upul who was just lovely, on the day of us checking out he was so kind to surprise us with breakfast to go as he didn’t want us leaving the property without food!

Beyond that, they even provided fresh aloe vera for our sunburns a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture that speaks volumes about their level of service. We loved everything about the Uga Chena Huts. The location is amazing with an elephant, monkeys and a range of other animals being seen around the property. The food was the best we have had - wonderful chef who changes the menu daily. The staff were exceptional, from our safari guide to the wait staff and room staff. They made our stay!

Our stay was amazing! The host connected directly with our safari guides and picked us up to bring us with his jeep to bring us into the jungle. He upgraded us for free to the treehouse and it was an absolutely incredible experience. The bbq fish was so delicious. Staff was very nice and helpful. We’ve stayed in a ton of places all over Sri Lanka and this was definitely a highlight. Would stay again!

Such a wonderful property and location. Full of wild life. The price is much more reasonable than the other ones close by. We’d come back here anytime and would stay for longer than just the one day that we booked. Staff were all amazing, helpful and friendly. Elephants wander around which was a pleasant surprise. Kids loved it.

The stay was really pleasant. The staff was super friendly and protective. They always taking care of us and our vehicles from wildlife. Our Deluxe double room was simply splendid with more space and really great view of the ocean. The food was really superb, there was a really wide selection of food and desserts.

It's not just the vast indoor room sizes and the serene cutoff from the outside world outdoor spaces. It's not just the attached pool, or the coffee maker or the humidifier or the finest heating in their opulent bathrooms. It's not just the warmth in Ishaan, Pathun and the other boys in the hospitality dept. It's not just the marketing team's seamless logistics and event planning skills. And it is not even just the phenomenal chef's attention to detail in everything from the menu to the finest ingredients and techniques that he brings to every plate he serves for the guests. It is the time, sweat and effort it has taken to build an amazing paradise called Allure Yala on the banks of the great lake. After our stay at Allure Yala, I'm sure of one thing, this place has magic and it's owner has great taste. I have stayed at so many posh hotels in India and Sri Lanka, but the attention to detail in this place is amazing and blows away the competition. Right from the coffee table books (Rolex, Africa with love, and Sri Lanka in one day), to the meticulously built rooms (even their steps have rounded corners to prevent accidental injuries), and the cutlery that is used to serve food and the maharaja trolley they use to bring the food, everything is perfect about this place. My foodie wife was blown away by each one of the 6 dishes the chef had made for us. From the authentic appams and the sambals, to the finest tomato and cheese sandwich, we will remember him for a long time! Our 2 year old daughter was the most peaceful here (in our 10 day trip in Sri Lanka). She had our best sleep here and didn't even wake up once thanks to the double AC + the most comfy beds. Personally for me, I was sick on one of the nights (had a mild fever, cold, and some pink eye) but somehow i am compelled to think this place took me in when i was ill and healed me (both spiritually and physically).
