The property is beautiful and the kids loved playing in the creek and pools, even in the rain. The hosts were very accommodating of our last minute change in itinerary due to road conditions coming from San Cristobal. Delicious and hearty breakfast in their lush jungle roadside restaurant, complete with a serenade by howler monkeys. Location was ideal, between Yaxchilán and Palenque, with many waterfalls and attractions along the way.

Marriott Tuxtla Gutierrez features luxury facilities, an outdoor pool and the highest standards of service.

Super clean, great restaurants inside and attached to the outside of the hotel. My family of 8 and my service animal were treated with the upmost care and respect. The pool and the gym are very clean and pleasant, and there's plenty of room for my dog to roam with the grounds outside.

Family of 6 arrived for a one night stay to the hotel to go to the waterpark next door for Saturday and Sunday. Arrived early to take advantage of water park hours. Check in was easy and clerk was friendly. We had a family room (Room No. 5) which was actually a casita with a full kitchen, A/C in both bedrooms and lots of space, which was fantastic. Beds were a little hard for our liking. TVs in both rooms were huge, but not smartTVs. Internet worked well as did the mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. When you stay at the hotel it included the waterpark entrance which was about $10 USD per person so good value. Hotel also provided a hot breakfast with good service. We would definitely return. Most important for us was that the hotel was clean, nobody got sick from the food, rooms were cold and parents had some privacy.

Excellent hostel, clean, accommodating, staff are helpful. Private rooms are brand new and wouldn’t be out of place in a high end hotel. Free breakfast (three options each day) and free dinner. Free cocktails some nights. Great vibe and social.
