The location was breathtaking! Literally in the middle of the mountains, with several hikes within walking distance. The house was super warm and incredibly well isolated. There's a little fireplace that gives away A LOT of heat when lit up! It was also very clean and without insects (bedroom windows have mosquito nets on them) The kitchenette only has one fire stove and a microwave, but we managed to do all the cooking we needed for 5 days with that. Kitchenware was clean and ready to use, with all cleaning materials. What we liked the most though, was the independence. Staff were lovely and always willing to help if we messaged them, but they werent around on a daily basis. We were alone in the woods with our dog, and loved every second of It!! (Important note: we went in November and stayed during weekdays, so chances are we didn't coincide with much people because of that)

El Bosque de la Herrezuela is located south of the Sierra de Gredos and offers rooms with bunk beds for 6 to 8 people, with air conditioning, and has free satellite Wi-Fi in common areas.
