This place was really superb. You need a car to get there as it is located just outside of Dijon. It is worth getting a car just to see the place: it is essentially a mansion just outside of a now derelict cement factory that they have artfully and tastefully integrated into their property. The grounds are large, dotted with places to lounge, relax and enjoy. The swimming pool (heated!) is worth using, also because it has been built into the remains of the old factory. The entire estate is tastefully done, with no expense spared. It is no surprise that the breakfast is super, too. Deserves the 10-Star rating and well worth a stay there.

The Dak'Hotel is located at the entrance of the city of Avallon, between the commercial area and the Parc des Chaumes. It offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi internet access.

The grounds were beautiful and the spa was a lovely feature. We were only there one night and the staff allowed us to use it beyond the stated hours which was so kind!

Elegant, spacious bathroom, deep closets and a panoramic view of the countryside from my room. Staff were all gracious and helpful. The location is perfect. It is surrounded by natural beauty and historic buildings. Vezelay and the this area of Burgundy is truly beautiful. Everyone I encountered was friendly and generous with their time.

We loved the location, room, building and restaurant. The chef is so good at creating beautiful and very tasty dishes with local ingredients. I will be back again when we visit that part of France again.

If you don’t time things Vezelay can be a food desert… thankfully staff at the hotel were willing to prepare a fabulous meal!

The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. There is a main living room that is beautiful and a wonderful place for us to hang out. Lovely walk along the river and around town, very peaceful and beautiful town.

Located in Nitry, 23 miles from Auxerre Clock Tower, Hôtel De La Beursaudiere has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

This was our 4 or 5th stay...amazing little place! Spotless, terrific shower, crisp sheets, and lots of charm with outside pleasant places to sit. The food? Worth going out of the way to dine here but just minutes off of Rt 6. Food was wonderful and the waitstaff very well trained and pleasant. AND quirky: the decor of this antique (mill?) is just wonderful...chock full of antiques and artifacts and great statues: full size stone pig graces one seating area and a rooster the size of an elephant another. No matter where you look or turn there is something to see.

This 18th-century mill is now a 3-star hotel located in the Burgundy region. It offers a garden in the heart of a forest, on the banks of the River Cousin.
