It's a family-owned, extremely friendly, extremely sweet, cozy hotel. It might not boast keeping up to all the novelties but that allows it to keep its charm and historic atmosphere. Rooms are not huge but quite enough to have a good rest after an active day outside. Location is unbeatable - about 5min from the telecabina and 2min from the main street with all its restaurants, shops and alike. Treatment from the hotel owners is very hearty, open and trustful.

This 19th-century neo-classical mansion is located in Bagneres de Luchon, in front of Luchon Thermal spa.

The people and environment had a very good, friendly and uncomplicated vibe. It was very social and attracted friendly visitors. The bathrooms could be used after check-out and were very clean also in the public parts (!) which seems like a rarity in France.

This hotel is awesome from the moment you step into the lobby, which smells like coffee and chocolate and looks like a cozy mountain cabin. The rooms were flawless, with comfy beds, wooden floors and an amazing bathroom. The cherry on the cake was the breakfast, abundant, super good and with great variety. Finally, the value is incredible, truly a gem.

This charming hotel is located in Arreau. It offers rooms with flat-screen TVs overlooking the grounds or mountains, and a summer heated outdoor pool with a fully furnished terrace.

The road up to hotel is heaven like, the rooms are super comfy and elegant! The breakfast was awesome, the restaurant was a great deal. We just expected more from the Spa and Wellness Center.

14 miles from Col de Peyresourde in Azet, Maison Seignou provides accommodations with access to a steam room, solarium, and open-air bath.

The bed and breakfast was quaint and charming. The staff is always on the premises and it seems family-run. It is a simple B&B, no frills, but everything is done with style and thoughtfulness. The B&B was built as an added wing to the original house and the architecture retains its farmhouse feeling.

15 miles from Col d'Aspin in Saint-Lary-Soulan, Au Chant Des Marmites provides accommodations with access to a sauna. The accommodation offers ski storage space, as well as free bikes and a garden.

This unique property was a superb experience. The room, the common room, the gardens ... all were comfortable. Pierre's personal attention was much appreciated. He's a wonderful host. The food was also extraordinary. Taking the suggestion of another reviewer, we asked Pierre to prepare a dinner. (He does need some advance notice!) The menu was entirely from the valley and the garden. Morels and chanterelles that Pierre foraged, deer pate, boar ham, pheasant from his hunting. The pheasant was flambéed in his homemade genepy. The blueberry tart was made with wild berries that he'd just picked. The lettuce in the salad was from his garden. Ar breakfast, more of the same. Eggs from his chickens, six kinds of homemade jam, etc. Pierre welcomes all his guests with great friendliness and interest -- and he's an interesting person too!
