The Priory was a wonderful surprise! We booked it because I've been wanting to stay someplace historic and The Priory didn't disappoint! From a very warm welcome by Emily to the assistance retrieving something accidentally left behind, they were helpful and accommodating. Thank you again. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, absolutely beautiful, and quite big. The restaurant, the bar, the sitting areas. It is all just so lovely. The food was very VERY good - we had dinner twice and loved every bite. The grounds are dotted with impressive sculptures, benches, and a beautiful view of the river. The car park has plenty of room. And the best thing about the Priory was the staff! From start to finish they were incredibly positive and helpful. Each and every person we interacted with in our three day stay was phenomenal. Harriet and her team are kind and caring people. Five stars to them! The town of Caerleon is located on a Roman settlement that once housed over 7000 troops. The remains are right there for you to see! From the legion barracks to the amphitheater to the fantastic museum - what an incredible treasure Caerleon is!

Everything, from checking in at reception—where the lovely receptionist gave my daughter a little bag of treats—to settling into the beautiful room with a charming balcony overlooking the Christmas decorations, and finally enjoying dinner at the grill, was absolutely top-notch. It was worth every penny, and I will definitely be coming back!

We were welcomed from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Highly recommend staying here. Staff were wonderful, the food was delicious, compliments to the Chef and the kitchen staff. The room was very comfortable and clean, thank you house keeping. The inn is within quiet surroundings, we sat outside in the beer garden for the latter part of the night and it was wonderful. We came as a couple for our anniversary and we had a lovely chilled out and relaxing break. Very good value for money

Such a lovely hotel! It is wonderfully warm wand welcoming, the room was comfortable and everything felt very high end and luxurious. The breakfast was excellent (great fresh sourdough bread!) and the staff were very friendly. Only a 10 minute walk from the station and 5 minutes walk into town. To top it off, there was a stream outside the hotel room that was the most relaxing thing to fall asleep to!

I really didn't expect much when I first booked it, but this is a real diamond hotel. Located close to Cardiff, The Priory is situated in a quiet village. The Restaurant and Decor where amazing, the food absolutely delicious and the staff super friendly and helpful! Would recommend a short stay trip with partner, very romantic and relaxing, not much to do in the village though.

The room was nice and was stocked with all the typical things you would need in a hotel room. The bed was comfy, however the pillows were not so great. The bath and shower were lovely and the soaps etc smelt lovely. The breakfast was an £37 buffet for 2 which we filled up on and it was delightful. The complementary spa and jacuzzi were amazing, and the staff, especially Jess were wonderful throughout.
