The staff is very nice and tries to help in any way. Their English is limited, but hey we are in Spain, so we should put all effort in speaking Spanish. Also, across the street is a laundry service!

The best hotel so far on our road trip through Northern Spain. Excellent price / deal Clean, quiet, with friendly stuff, great air conditioning. There is a gym, a bar, a restaurant. There are a few parking spaces around the building (supervised), public parking spaces all around the neighborhood and a payable private garage (around 9 euro per night). The Castle is 20 minutes away on foot.

This was a practice place to stay easy access and lots of great benefits staying . I loved it just a 5 minute walk over the bridge and your in the old city

I was amazed by the castle-like look from the outside (I reaaaaally love castles 😍) the entrance and every detail is unbelievably beautiful and taken care of to the extreme. Even though it was wonderful, what was even better than the place itself was the reception staff as they were truly welcoming and genuinely nice. Julián took care of every detail and went far and beyond to help me out and that made a massively positive difference on my stay. Your kindness doesn't go unnoticed 😊. I would totally recommend and will definitely be back here at some point. The weather wasn't great, so the fact that it has a gym with the basics made my stay wonderful. Its location couldn't be any better as it's strategically placed, there's an amazing parc right opposite, the views from the room were stunning and everything you may need is at walking distance. Extremely happy 😊🏰

A 5 star hostal/albergue! Modern, clean, Laura at reception was an Angel, small kitchen area, great washer & dryer, separate male vs female bathrooms/showers, dormitory rooms had 3 bunk beds all with own light/electric socket/electronic key locker; comfortable bunks (I could sit upright in lower bunk). We were about 10 pilgrims and they kindly separated us in various rooms so most had private accommodation for dormitory price. Amazing buffet breakfast for €6.50 was a bonus. LOVED this Alda Albergue

The breakfast was great and a very good value. It’s close to the Camino. The manager was very kind and didn’t hesitate to find me a new room when there was a problem with the first one. Very professional!

A great place to stop in Ponferrada, 10 minutes' walk froom the old town and the castle. The room is spacious with a nice view of the hills and the sunset. The hosts are very helpful and friendly, and the common areas are large enough to spend some time in. Bathrooms are clean and well-equipped. Overall — you can tell the owners take good care of the place. Great choice for a budget stay in Ponferrada, highly recommended.
