Rooms in Arbois

The entire building is from 1438 - yes the Middle Ages! There is also a waterfall that literally touches the breakfast area! Incredible! We had a room with twin beds and it was perfect. Beautiful view, great towels, bedding, closet space, everything I wanted. Internet was aided by a mobile unit that strengthened coverage and I was able to have Zoom meetings with no issues. We had dinner at the spectacular restaurant, worthy of 1 star Guide Michelin. All the staff are extremely sweet, cheerful and competent. I would come back in a heartbeat!

The host, Brigitte, is very kind even if she speaks little English. The breakfast was delicious including both local cheeses and homemade baguette!

Hotel owner, Marie, was very welcoming and very helpful in making dining recommendations and reservations. I especially liked how quiet the hotel was and relaxing. The breakfast was very nice.

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in on our trip. It was right in the center of town in a building from the middle ages. Lots of old walls and old beams, and where modern was needed, it was up to date and upscale. The shower was all beautiful tile, beautiful hardware, and good water pressure. The room was huge, the temperature easily controlled and the woman at the front desk was lovely. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. And it has an elevator.

It was like a home away from home. We wanted for nothing and the staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. It was a great base to explore the area from.

I especially loved the view from the balcony looking over the verdant high hills, and the breakfast and the hosts.

Lovely room great restaurant and nice town

This is a beautiful home with historic features and modern amenities. My room was huge, and its decore also combined historic and modern. It is bang smack in the middle of Arbois, and around the corner from a lovely bar/cafe. The hotel’s proprietress also is a lovely, thoughtful woman who drove me to dinner when I could not find a cab, and also dropped me at the train station on the last day with my too-heavy luggage.

Very flexible with extending my stay. Great location, lovely owner / operator. Very clean and well serviced.

The property and experience fully exceeded our expectations. The grounds, room, facilities were lovely, we felt very at home. Both Elise and Zelie were incredibly attentive, kind and provided wonderful recommendations for visits in the Jura region. We are so grateful! We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely come back and recommend La Closerie to friends and family visiting the region in the future!

Excellent location, very clean and comfortable.

Beautiful rooms and property and wonderfully hospitable team. Location is great: a nice, short walk from the town center. Breakfast was fantastic, with everything made in house and from a great local bakery.

Best location in Arbois for convenience, ease of use and ability to walk anywhere within the town. Clean, lots of natural light.
