We had a fabulously gorgeous dinner at Hotel Husafell, and nice cocktail for happy hour. Dinner was memorable and the scenery is gorgeous. Stayed just one night but had a great stay.

Everything was good about this stay. The location was good. There were multiple hiking options nearby. We hiked to a hot spring, which was a beautiful route. The rooms were spacious and the beds slept comfortably. Most importantly, the host was really hospitable. He cooked soup and waffles for us and even invited us to have coffee with him after we hiked to the hot spring. I can definitely recommend this place!

One of the best places we stayed in Iceland! Wonderful, wide views around the valley, renovated facilities, excellent restaurant on site and most helpful staff. Really glad we found this gem in a slightly less visited area of the island.

The specific sentence “pass the three houses and turn right” was SO helpful in finding the property. We had a great time. This was the best part of our trip.

This wonderful place will always remain to me the first place where we witnessed the northern lights. But apart from that, the guest home is homely and inviting, the rooms are cozy with a private sink for brushing teeth, and our host and hostess were very welcoming people. We can only recommend!

The secluded cabin feel. The hot tub was excellent and was great even in a blizzard! The cabin was quiet even with the wind and the rain. Lots of glass to see the northern lights through.

A recently renovated villa, Aurora luxury villa offers accommodations in Reykholt. Housed in a building dating from 2026, this villa offers free Wifi and free private parking.

Fosshotel Reykholt is only a few minutes’ drive from the hot springs of Deildartunguhver and the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. It offers free parking and WiFi.

The breakfast is one of the best among all the hotels we stayed in Iceland. The staff went out of their way to serve you. I left my notebook computer charger in the hotel. I had to leave on cruise the next day. They found it and sent it to Fosshotel Reykajvik so that I can pick it up after my cruise and on my way to London.
