Rooms in Matsushima

Nice location for the great view over the bay. Nice dinner with many choices. The hotel provides free transportation from and to the train station all day.

The restaurant has a fantastic onsen and breakfast/dinner buffets. The rooms are Japanese style with tatami and some of the rooms face the gorgeous waters of Matsushima Bay, especially if you are on a higher floor like I was. The hotel provides free drinks and alcohol at set hours. The hotel has a game room with ping pong, claw games, and a few pachinko machines, as well as a karaoke bar. A shuttle is also provided to take guests to the different train stations. There is plenty of parking. I found the price to be excellent value for this resort and what it provides.

Very nice people, clean facilities, cute bar downstairs, with spacious rooms and delicious breakfast (paid). It was a very enjoyable experience. Please do mind that most activity plays at the other part of Matsushima, which is about half an hour walking.

The vibes is very nostalgic with an old elementary school building turned hotel

The owners are lovely and welcoming. This may be one of the best ryokan where we slept in Japan. The Japanese room have a really good traditional bed. The 2 dogs may bark but a scratch on the head will turn them lovely as well.

Comfortable futon, large room, quiet. Public bath was in good condition. Breakfast Friday and breakfast buffet on Saturday were tasty and generous. Staff was exceptionally courteous. Hotel shuttle available for both train stations.

This is an excellent villa with a partial sea view Very good location as it’s close to all major spots in Matsushima The host was very helpful Had a wonderful stay here and will recommend everyone to stay here and enjoy your matsushima stay.

We love the spacious house and everything we need all can be found in the house.

- The hosts were absolutely lovely and super proactive about making guests feel comfortable - Big pettable dog - Cohesive decorating scheme that made the whole place feel super cosy, with really pretty wallpaper especially - A friendly and intimate atmosphere with the other guests - Excellent food - A full set of cooking facilities with a good range of free spices/condiments, fridge and freezer space - Very comfortable communal living room space with big table/desk

It is an amazing hotel. The owner is really friendly, talkative, and helpful. The location is amazing and convenient. The only downside is the shower fluctuating in temperature.
