Great location, super clean room, attentive staff, and amazing breakfast

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming onsen. By chance, we were the only guests for the evening, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They kindly helped us bring our things to the room, showed us how to wear the yukatas, and even let us enjoy the women’s onsen as a private family bath. Breakfast was delicious and served in our own private room, and the location was fantastic—peaceful yet convenient. Truly a special experience we’ll always remember.

Nemaru is the embodiment of "cozy" - there's no end to the cute little curiosities lining the apartment! There are many delightful books to look at, as well as a projector for a fun home theater. There was clearly a lot of love put into these accommodations, and I think everyone will feel right at home here. Miura, the host, was also very kind and welcoming!

The owners were very friendly and nice, being from Singapore we were not used to the intensity of coldness in Nagaoka, and they brought for us an Aladdin heater. The place is clean, there were toys and books for my kids, the beds were very comfortable and we can find everything we need in the apartment.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Tiny House! It had everything we needed--a surprisingly large bed, pots and pans to cook, a nice shower--all neatly organized in a very small space. It was also extremely clean. We rented it to see the Katakai fireworks, and it was perfectly located for this. We also saw Sumo at the festival, a "bull sumo" competition, and the koi museum. It is close-ish (45 minutes or so) to the Echigo-Tsumari art field as well, which was really cool.
