The cabins were incredibly cozy, overlooking beautiful snowcapped mountains. The jacuzzi was a great way to stay warm and take in the scenery along. We also enjoyed walking along the trails toward the river.

Lovely rooms and views. Staff was friendly and very accommodating, from dining options to arranging activities. Lounge area was very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Best activity for our Norway trip: dog sledding on the first snows of the season.

Stayed at Main Cabin in mid-February. Clean, well furnished cabin for 10+ guests situated just outside of Alta (15 minutes). Staff was responsive and communicative and made us feel welcome. We were treated to spectacular near-daily displays of the Northern Lights!

Absolutely loved our stay. We spent five weeks in Scandinavia and stayed in over two dozen lodgings, this was in the top five! Comfortable accommodations and wonderful food, but what really makes Bjornfjell special is the staff. Everybody was so pleasant!

Thanks so much for the wonderful memories The Radderud cabin was amazing! My kids loved the huskies and the dogsledding experience here. Everyone at Trasti & Trine here was so friendly and thoughtful. Highly recommend to stay here!

Everything was just perfect! Perfect location in the centre, near the bus terminal. Thanks to Mahé, I could watch a part of the Olympic Games ceremony on connected TV 😀 The breakfast was very good, delicious. I particularly enjoyed the fresh bread & the homemade egg salad! The bed was very comfy. Next time, I'd like a room with a view on the city please :-)

The Hotel Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge is very unusual and beautifully situated. Nature all around, absolute silence. Very friendly staff, beautiful rooms.. Very tasty evening menu, high-quality breakfast, home-made bread, the best jam. Very attentive staff 💙

Room was nice. Restaurant was lovely with a great free breakfast. As usual, there were no top sheets (that is everywhere in Europe). The hotel is just outside a lovely square to wander around and not far from the cathedral. Be aware they don’t have “regular” TV; they only have casting TVs and the rooms near can interrupt your Nexflix and turn on to theirs. And after spending $250 the night before in Honningsvag for similar lodging, the price seemed like a steal.

I was looking for a room in Alta and this turned out as the best option. The location is a bit remote, but it's worth every kilometer once you get there. They have several different types of cabins, the surrounding is well kept. I stayed at one of the cabins, the room and the bathrooms were spacious, the beds very comfortable. If you arrive at dinner time, you may get a meal there, too (for an extra charge, of course). The breakfast was rich and tasty.

We had a cottage called Hildur with own toilet and kitchen next to the river Alta. Had good spaces and all the equipments we needed. We really enjoyed the stay because there was no small flying insects disturbing us and we could sit on the terrace also (came to the camping area about 17.00). Had to take a shower in the main building but no lines in there. Very nice staff.

We are travelling by bicycle. Stayed in a cabin with 6 beds and shared bath. Rooms are recently renovated and very clean. Kitchen is in a different building and was wonderful - well stocked with dishes, pots etc. lovely eating area.

Great Hotel in the heart of the city of ALTA. Very big room and bathroom, very kind, helpfull and poilte staff. A huge public (paid) parking is almost in fromt of the hotel. Breakfast excellent (with notes of quality like salmon and french chease). I will right also something kinda fanny. There are many people that complain for the sockets in a hotel room, and some times they have right. This hotel was a PARADISE for them. I counted (really) 14 sockets!!!! You can charge whatever you like!!!
