The temperpedic pillow was a nice upgrade for my wife. The location on the ocean was incredible. The food in the restaurant was very good also.

Amazing stay in Pico!! Everything has been renovated with taste, it feels like a modern and cozy home. The room is spacious, comfortable and with views. It's the perfect place to enjoy nature!! There are birds, cows, cats, chickens and infinite green. Best breakfast I have ever been served at B&B. Beautiful and modern kitchen, and common space with a piano, guitar, and sofas to chill!! Also lovely history of the family hobbies linked to the whalers past. Didi will make you feel at home you can see how much effort she makes everyday to make the guests happy! I have never given a 10, as for principal my maximum is 9.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is very clean, well-equipped and has authentic and cosy atmosphere. And the hosts are such friendly and nice people! We are really happy we chose casa de basalto.

Sao was such a wonderful hostess!! So kind and helpful. The breakfast served here was fantastic, the room perfect for our needs and the balcony so beautiful!! Lajes was an excellent location for us, we loved the pastry shop and restaurant just up the street. Quiet but neighborly, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else on the island! Highly recommend renting a car and taking advantage of the ocean swimming holes! Sao Roque had the best one. And the bar Cella Bar near the capital has a gorgeous view!

The view was splendid, and you can tell a lot of care and thoughtfulness went into setting up the apartment (duplex). The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Thank you for the welcoming tray.

The garden was very welcoming and beautiful. We loved the energy and vibes of the space and host. Cheery colors and fresh air, clean, friendly. Close to exceptional bakery! Offer laundry service. Hammocks, lounge chairs and friendly cats.

Host was extremely easy to communicate with. Super friendly and eager to please. The house is spacious and the property is beautiful !!! The welcome basket was beyond expectations and enjoyed throughout our stay. Everything was delightful and attention to detail was evident. Excellent location from which to explore Pico. There were many amenities for guests ranging from toothbrushes to extra towels. Everything had been thought of. We loved our stay and are dreaming of returning.

The view was stunning. We met the owner as we arrived a little early. We were greeted with great kindness and a a lovely basket of fruit and goodies were left for us on the table. The place was comfortable and clean. The road down was a bit steep and narrow but the reward of the property is worth the drive. The place is on the water with steps down to get to the water. We loved our stay. thank you

Dee is an amazing hostess. Her property and garden is amazing. She takes extra care to ensure your stay is exactly what you need. I loved the view of the ocean and the special treats that she would offer. I feel that I have made a friend for life and cannot wait to stay there again!
