The hotel is in a nice location. It is set in the forest just as you finish driving the Transfăgărășan ans get ready to enter Cartisoara on your way to Sibiu. The hotel is very nice with, nice rooms, and comfortable beds. The rooms are pretty large and are well kept. They have a restaurant on site and the food is good. The hotel also has breakfast included which is a plus. They also have a huge heated pool, located in the building next to the hotel. The pool is super nice.

I had an outstanding stay at this accommodation, which is perfectly situated on the Cârțișoara riverbank, close to the forest, and right where the Transfăgărășan road begins, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and road trip enthusiasts. The place was impeccably clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I enjoyed the included breakfast and appreciated the option to order additional meals. A highlight was the small terrace near the river, offering a peaceful spot to relax. The excellent WiFi was a great bonus, allowing me to stay connected during my stay. With an unbeatable price/quality ratio, this accommodation offers fantastic value. Highly recommended!

Amazing stay. Great staff. The food at the restaurant was incredible, specifically the beef fillet (some of the best we’ve ever had). The rooms were very comfortable. Wish we had more time to stay longer.

The place is beautiful, very clean, with a lot of bedrooms and very comfortable. It is in a beautiful ubication with a stream next to the house. It is very recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and comfortable, and the whole place was well maintained. Breakfast was varied and tasty, with fresh vegetables from their own garden – a lovely detail. We also had dinner at the local restaurant, and the food was excellent. There’s a spacious garden area, perfect for relaxing or letting the kids play and run around. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Nice location to start Transfagaran next day, swimming pool, extra dinner room, nice surrounding

We stayed one night before we moved forward and we rested very well. The owner is very nice and the place is close to the mountain which makes it perfect for the ones who want to ride Transfăgărășan and enjoy the area. The facility is the well equipped and very clean.

A superb oasis near the top of the carpathians. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the drink portions were generous, and I reveled in their diverse menu (several vegan options, and soy milk at breakfast. Yay!

Great place, super nice people!

You notice when you arrive in Cârțișoara that it's a rather hard-scrabble villages at the base of the daunting mountains. But Casa Floare de Colt is an oasis that you'd never expect is hiding behind the walls. Note that its sign on the main road says something slightly different - Pensione de Colt or something similar, but that is the place. The buildings, courtyard, and rooms are nice and clean, it has a lovely atmosphere and the hosts aim to please. Travelers were enjoying the patio, everyone was in a good mood and friendly. I got a pleasant nights rest before taking on the Transfagrasan Highway.

Excellent accommodation that I can highly recommend. I especially appreciated the excellent communication with the host, who was friendly, helpful, and always quick to respond. The property was spotlessly clean and very well maintained throughout our stay. Another major advantage was the spaciousness of the accommodation, which made our stay very comfortable and relaxing. It's a comfortable and clean accommodation next to the forest. It's really close to the top (about 30-40 minutes). There was a well equipped kitchen, in the morning we had fresh coffee and milk waiting for us. It was a wooden house so I was afraid there would be spiders and bugs, but nothing. Every location was perfectly clean. I would recommend it.

Location is everything.The facts that the room was big enough to turn the car (also the bathroom - with hot water at will and also the hall - bonus the fridge) and the parking itself is also generous and inside the protected area. The view including the one from room is what keep you alert or/and dreaming. The host(s) were like family! Barbecue amenities available but we did not use it. Shared kitchen available, not used.

The place is designed flawlessly, very clean and equipped with everything one needs. The cabins are beautiful, comfortable and in a great location to start the transfagarasan journey.
