Our one-night stay at Posestvo Rouna in the Vipava Valley was nothing short of exceptional. Traveling as a group of three friends, we chose the estate to complement an evening at the renowned Dvorec Zemono with master chef Tomaž Kavčič—and it proved to be the perfect pairing. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm, genuine, and attentive without ever being intrusive. The accommodation itself is beautifully designed, blending comfort, elegance, and a strong sense of place. Every detail feels carefully considered, creating an atmosphere that is both refined and deeply relaxing. What truly sets Posestvo Rouna apart, however, is its setting. Surrounded by rolling vineyards, the views are simply breathtaking—especially at sunset and in the quiet of the morning. The peacefulness of the landscape invites you to slow down and fully appreciate the natural beauty of the Vipava Valley. We particularly enjoyed tasting the estate’s own wines, which added a personal and authentic touch to the experience. It’s clear that great pride and care go into every aspect of the property, from the wine to the guest experience. In every sense, our stay exceeded expectations. Posestvo Rouna offers a rare combination of understated luxury, genuine hospitality, and an unforgettable location. Super room! Robi, the owner, quickly appeared and showed me in—a very nice, clean and comfortable room. Super quiet location (the restaurant under the room was closed the night I stayed). It was definitely the most beautiful and unique place I have stayed in Slovenia. Every single detail was perfect. You can be sure that the staff takes great care of cleanliness, and the rooms smell pleasantly fresh. We joined for dinner and wine tasting during which we were amazed at how much the owners put their heart and soul into what they do. Each dish was delicious and creative, combining tradition and sophistication. It was an exceptional and unforgettable experience.

We had an excellent stay at Samson and the Lilo. We enjoyed the fruit bowl, snacks and wine left for us (this was an unexpected and lovely surprise). We really felt like we had an authentic experience staying in a small countryside village with so much history and character and appreciated the kindness and help extended to us by Guy and Polona. We highly recommend this property as well as hiking to the top of the hill to see the chapel and phenomenal views of Vipava!

Clean, good beds, good airconditioning in the bedrooms. Free welcome wine, check-in was easy. There was one hob to cook on which was a bonus & worked well. Outside eating area. Nearby pizzeria Anja was great (10 mins walk).

Absolutely beautiful location with lovely rooms. We enjoyed being able to walk into Slap to do the different wine tastings as well as the food in the onsite restaurant.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and available all the time. The restaurant has very delicious food for good price. The location is perfect for bike trips and hikes. Also, for wine tasting, there are many options in 5 minutes walking distance.

Accommodation was nicely off the beaten track, parking was discreet which was ideal for motorcycles, accommodation had a communal kitchen and dinning area ideal for larger groups, also included an outside eating area and BBQ, room was large enough along with a good sized bedroom and good working shower facilities (plenty of hot water) room contained a fridge which was an unexpected bonus

The place is amazing, so get it now if it's available! :) We had a really warm welcoming by the host with a glass of local Vipava white wine. We enjoyed every corner of the mirror house. It's a large, smart, and sustainable room with a nice view. The tranquility of the place can be better felt from the hot tube enjoying a glass of wine.

super nice hosts,friendly and helpful but offering full privacy. clean and spacious room with kitchenette, hosts even left fruit&snacks, bottle of wine and some basic groceries in the fridge. place is creatively decorated, lovely fusion of modern interior with ancient stone architecture. Excellent location in the center of beautiful scenic stone Karst village of Goče. it features a big parking space and offers use of big outside garden in the shade of old chestnut trees

This is honestly one of the best places we have every been. Beautiful location, really nice transformation of an old cellar into a beautiful room with character. The garden of the property with the views were to die for. The best was the owner, amazing guy, friendly, eager to help, with good tips and very welcoming. We definitely recommend it and would totally go back! Thanks a lot again for everything Marko :)
