The receptionist was very helpful and kind. He speaks fluent English. The accommodation was on point: "German" clean, very warm, spacious, bright, with a free of charge bar. The bed was very comfortable. The room is soundproof. A coffee machine is available in the dining area. Parking in front of the hotel is free of charge. Right next to a highway, restaurants, pharmacy, grocery shops, different types of shops.

Our stay was lovely. It was clean and had wonderful amenities, just like an apartment. The store and cafe below were very pleasant and yummy. Access after hours was easy. We would stay there again.

I thing there really wasn't much that we didn't like there. The hillside location with fog rising from the valley in the evening, the animals - cats, ponies, deers in the garden, the recently renovated rooms, decent breakfast. Kids quickly fell in love with the place and demanded a return visit.

Lichtenauer Hof enjoys a location in Thyrnau, 31 miles from Johannesbad Thermal Baths and 8.7 miles from University of Passau.
