SpainThe staff were unbelievable. In my ignorance I booked a train from Madrid and back. They went on line and searched all the options and showed me how the bus was 60 Euros less and 2 hrs faster. I didn't ask them to do this they just volunteered. I really can't recommend this place highly enough. Do yourself a favor and stay here if you can.

This impressive hotel is located in an old palace within the old city walls of Avila. Our room was large and well appointed with a small balcony overlooking the front garden and terrace. Breakfast was very good and freshly prepared and served to the table. There are two restaurants within the hotel and pleasant bar area on the terrace. The location is perfect for exploring the old city of Avila with its spectacular walls and beautiful cathedral. Parking is available onsite.

A very nice one night stay. Welcoming staff, safe place for my bicycle; comfortable and spacious room and bathroom; nice welcome gift in the room; toothpaste kit in the bathroom. Nice breakfast included in the price. Restaurant on site. Good WiFi.

Everything wonderful about this hotel. Our room was fantastic, like out of Versailles. The facilities were excellent, with super breakfast and restaurant. Staff very helpful at all times.

Excellent facilities in this hotel. The restaurant and cafe area were very good. The staff were very helpful. There is a large, free car park outside the hotel. Our room was amazing, with a large bed and a fantastic view of Avila from our loo. Accross the road, a tram runs back and fore the walled town.

Avila is a fascinating small city, and a bit off the beaten track for most British tourists, so it was good to have a lovely room, a comfortable bed, a good shower etc.

Nicely used space with a good bathroom and great shower. The proximity to everything, walking distance, was perfect. You will be warmly welcomed by your host who took the time to recommend restaurants, shopping and things to do on the map.

Very friendly staff and a charming room. The location was directly downtown with plenty of free street parking. It was very nice to have a balcony. The AC worked, but was noisy when the water drained from it.

Ease of leaving! Friendliness of the staff. 24 hour reception was excellent. Really very helpful overnight reception person providing blankets, a heater and replacement table lamp which did not work (ever) in our room. Restaurant staff, breakfasts were very good and fairly priced.
