CanadaThis property was absolutely gorgeous! A traditional style Japanese perfect for a small group. Instructions provided were excellent and all encompassing. We initially had plans in the evening, but this house provided a perfect opportunity for our group to have a rest day, so we grabbed food and enjoyed what the place had to offer.

Service: The staff was absolutely amazing, very attentive without being intrusive, absolutely charming, very knowledgeable of activities around Nikko, they engaged in conversation and we're super nice. I can't find the names of the staff, but I want to thank the Metre for that amazing whisky.
The hotel: Absolutely beautiful, great design concept, the lounge is amazing the rooms too, spotless, spacious, lots of light, very well decorated. The bed and pillows were so nice and comfortable, the best in my month in Japan.
Food: A delight to the senses all the dishes at dinner were exquisite, great combination of flavors, textures, aromas, and perfect presentation. Breakfast was great too. There's also free cocktails and drinks and champagne for breakfast if you're into that.
As a bonus during dinner time there's a DJ and you can request music.
Location: It's a bit far from Nikko Tobu station and downtown Nikko but they have a shuttle bus service so don't worry about it. A taxi from Tobu Nikko to the hotel will run you about ¥2000.

Very spacious and clean rooms. Hotel staff was very curteous and responsive. Beds were comfortable. Lakeside view although most of the lake blocked by trees. Japanese buffet breakfast was really good, would recommend as there arent any convenient stores in the immediate area around the hotel. Didnt get to try dinner so cannot speak to that. Onsen in the hotel was really nice. The area around the hotel is gorgeous, right on Lake Chuzenji. Walkable distance to the bus stop to get around to other areas of Nikko. Good value for the price.

Exceptional staff, all of them were highly attentive and kind. Outstanding Japanese dinner and breakfast. Our room was Japanese style, and it was gorgeous. Best hotel experience we had in Japan. 10 out of 10, would go back if visiting the area again.

Comfortable rooms with excellent beds. No room darkening shades tho so bring eye sleep covers if you’re super sensitive to light in the early morning. Breakfast is custom made to your liking and excellent. The hosts are amazing and super well informed and very helpful. They even drive us around a few times! Above and beyond hospitality! The spa was also very nice. If you peace and quiet, this place is for you.

Wonderful hotel. Perfect for a family of four. The room was beautiful and immaculately clean. The onsen bath and the shower were beautiful and serene. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some meals. The outdoor seating and large movie screen were welcome extra touches after the rush and small hotel rooms of the cities. It was local to 7/11 and family mart and the supermarket. Local to the centre of town and it was easy to access the beautiful sites of Nikko. Wish we had stayed longer and will definitely come again.

Hotel rooms are very clean, staff are all nice and close to station.
7eleven is also around the corner. They also have in-house ramen place no need to go out during dinner.
Onsen is nice and clean.

Excellent location, easy to walk to the main temples or take a bus to Lake Chuzenji. The apartment was spacious for 2 and very clean. The land lady was very responsive to our messages.

The location is very good. It's just 300-500m from kegon falls. Rooms are spacious despite having three bunk beds with a capacity of six adults in a room.
It's just a guesthouse not a full fledged hotel room so bare minimum expectations were met.

Our room was spacious, quiet, clean and had a beautiful view. The onsen is gorgeous, and I usually had it to myself. The kitchen and lounge facilities are excellent and practical - the free coffee in the morning was much appreciated. There’s plenty of parking for those with cars.
