The room was very clean and cleaned daily, The air conditioning was working very well and made our stay convenient on really hot days. We stayed five nights at Quinta de la Rosa and it was perfect. Our room was in Amarella cottage a few minute walk from the main house which was lovely and had its own pool! Food at the restaurant was great including Tim’s Terrace. Also it’s only a short 10 minute walk into Pinhao where there are more restaurants, bars and boat trips and the train station.

Great accommodation with magnificent views over the Douro River Valley. The well equipped suites are set in an impressive terraced garden with both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. There are various water based activities available. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Our suite had a terrace balcony which was a real bonus.

A beautiful old manor house, still lived in by the family. Our room was fantastic, situated in a wing overlooking the garden and a lovely view of the valley. Very comfortable and spacious. The staff were incredible and we were really well looked after. Meals were great, plenty wholesome food, the vegetable soup was one of the nicest we have tasted and the duck was fantastic. We genuinely had no issues at all.

The building has been beautifully renovated. Our room was very spacious and cool despite the warm weather. From the pool one has a great view across the valley. We enjoyed very good breakfasts and dinners. Wine reommendations were yummy! The owners were lovely. I would love to come back for another visit.

Service was great, lovely extended family hosts who worked hard to ensure all guests were catered for, food and wine was plentiful, nothing too much trouble.
Our room was at the top of the house and like stepping back in time but was spacious with a second bedroom and living area with chairs and tv, plus great view across the river to Pinhao.
Location was up high so we were happy we took a taxi as roads were tight, and it also resulted in some fantastic photographs of the lighting that lit up the night sky.

It was a beautiful and unique property at the top of a mountain with amazing views! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the balcony off the bedroom was stunning! We looked forward to having our breakfast there every morning. The area was very quiet and it was fun to explore and walk around the little alleys. A car is definitely needed though to get back down to the river area as well as the different wineries. There is also a little café, right around the corner, otherwise the top of the mountain is very quiet.

The pool area is great and the view is just phenomenal. For that alone, it was 1000% worth it. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with a nice balcony with a view too! You can tell the place is new/recently renovated and it is really beautiful. Great bathroom with large shower too. It was nice to have complimentary breakfast, especially since the rooms were pretty cheap!

Our room was actually a house!!! We didn't need the extra bedroom or large kitchen or large living space and dining area but having so much space made it like home, except with a spectacular view of the vineyard. We had a personal tour of the winery museum by delightful Christina who also served us breakfast.

The Apartment was right beside and overlooking the Duoro River, spacious well equipped and a great breakfast served on the sunny terrace. Very close by, a very good restaurant and opposite the railway station for the Duoro train trip. Helpful management with Portuguese toll road issues.
