This was an easy to reach location from Hiroshima Station and it was a short walk to the bus/tram to get to all city highlights (Hiroshima Castle, Peace Park/Memorial, train to Miyajima). After falling in the river (mine and my son's shoes were soaking wet), the hosts took our shoes and used a dryer vacuum to dry out our shoes by the next morning without even asking. The owners speak only Japanese (I speak a little), but you can easily communicate through a translator app if needed. The owners are so kind and kept a wonderful, clean place. Our room had two futons and one western bed (three people). The overall size of the room was great. Private, in-room shower/tub, sink and toilet - small but expected this in Japan. Provided travel amenities, towels, tea/coffee/candy in-room, mirror, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Super clean!

Big house in the suburbs of Hiroshima. It was lovely and clean and really spacious. It had enough room for 6 people comfortably. The facilities were clean and once we got the hang of the oven it was great ot cook there. Used it as base for 3 days to go further away.
