Ryokans in Kaga

Yukai Resort Saichoraku had great baths, beautiful facility, clean rooms, and a fun game room including ping pong. It was a five minute walk to a grocery store. It was also a 5 minute walk to the town bathhouse, shrine, and main area for their Shobu Festival.

The staff were exceptional, and the location and facilities were fantastic. Dinner was generous and delicious.

The staff they are all helpful and the food is so good especially the crab and seafood, definitely coming back.

Huge facility, great food, outdoor onsen, and pretty yukata choices. Great service and friendly staff.

Exceptionally nice staff, very nice onsen

A wonderful hotel located in the mountains and is a 5 mins drive from town center. The hotel lobby and my hotel room look out into the mountains, and the views are breathtaking. The hotel has several outdoor and indoor onsens, and because its water is directly drawn from the hot springs nearby, it is very popular with the local Japanese guests. The hotel is fairly large but retains a serene and cozy atmosphere. The breakfast and dinner is a perfect addition to my stay. Food is delicious and service is warm. Staying at this hotel and visiting the nearby town reminds me of my first visit to Kyoto 20+ years ago- a tranquil beautiful place not spoiled by over- tourism.

Yamanaka Onsen Kajikaso spoiled us! Our stay was excellent as our fondest memory. The location, its building & facility, Onsen, rooms and the breakfast & dinner.... I was really pleased that we stayed there. Our friend couple in their very senior age and the first time in Japan thoroughly enjoyed their stay as well. We wanted to stay there longer than 2 nights.

The Yamanaka Onsen Kagari Kisshotei was the perfect place to unwind after traveling Japan for almost 2 weeks. The location was beautiful and so serene, alongside the river. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. When I forgot to notify them that our daughter was a vegetarian prior to arriving, they made sure to accommodate with her breakfast and dinner meals were just as delicious as ours. The food was a work of art and the it was a pleasure to relax in their onsens prior to returning home. I highly recommend staying here!

I can not give enough praise to the facilities, the staff and the overall experience! What an extraordinary experience!!

We loved our stay 2 night stay in the private Onsen suite. The kaiseki dinner and breakfasts were delicious and filling without making you uncomfortably full. The private Onsen and bath were fantastic and overlooked the gorge. It was so peaceful and so nice to get up in the morning and just sink in and soak while waiting for breakfast. The staff were amazingly friendly though be aware that English can be a bit difficult. It is Japan though so this isn’t a negative. The location was great, out of the way but a very easy, leas than 5 minute walk to the main town street and entrance to the gorge. 10 minutes walking you can get to the cozy and beautiful gorge cafe, we read books, ate cake, and drank tea there. Was fantastic for a relaxing visit.

We had a great time at the dinner and breakfast buffets, and the view from the outdoor onsen (had indoor and outdoor components) was lovely; great watching the gorge flow by on a rainy spring day. The host didn't speak English but had prepared a little sheet with all major information we needed on it, and was very willing to communicate with us through Google Translate to answer any questions we had!

Meals both breakfast and dinner are good

The staff are really nice and welcoming. There are some inner activities like table tennis and karaoke. The public bath is nice. The hotel's backyard is nice with a beautiful view of the lake. Parking is free. There are plenty of vending machines.

I loved this place. It had everything to be entertained. Private onsens available, free snacks, game rooms, maga rooms, and free icecream. My family loved it.

Stunning location along a river gorge! Beautiful property with very modern minimalist Japanese decor. The onsen tubs including the private tub in our room wonderfully relaxing and clean. Delicious kaiseki dinner and breakfast and excellent staff and service.

It was lovely and spacious with traditional decor. The food was amazing and the hospitality of the staff was beyond expectations. Wonderful view of the lake. Onsen was fabulous! Nice small town with plenty to see especially Natadera Temple - gorgeous! Mr Fokuda made our stay special with his English explanations and exceptional service!
