The colonial architecture is absolutely amazing. It matches or exceeds the colonial architecture you find in Cartagena, but has a more authentic feel since you're in Cienaga--an underrated spot on the Caribbean coast. All the rooms are named for female characters in Gabriel Garcia Marquez books. There are common areas on the two floors for sitting. The view from the rooftop at sunset was great-- city and sea views. Lilibeth was so kind to make us breakfast to go since we were leaving so early.

The room was located in a beautifully decorated house and was very functional with AC and a great bathroom. The location is great if you want to stay close to the airport, as it can take about 25 to 30 minutes to reach Santa Marta downtown. The owner waited for us late in the night for the check-in, she was very friendly. During the day you can walk to the beach by crossing the main road and following the streets to the beach front. There is an Olímpica supermarket nearby to buy water and other things.

Hotel Irotama Reservado has a fitness center, a garden and a sun terrace with swimming pool and buffet breakfast in Santa Marta.

The pool and beach was fantastic, closed to the building. The bar also offer good drinks. The room very confortable with more things than we expected.
