Self-Catering Accommodations in Barmouth

The lodge we stayed in was lovely very homely, amazingly clean with a bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge. We will definitely rebook!

Great location to the beach, good local amenities, fab accommodation..

I feel this cabin has had a lot of unrealistic expectations resulting in bad reviews. This cabin is essentially a glamping pod, and any facility placed in complete forest conditions will have some not so perfect aspects to it. We however thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had climbed mount snowdon for sunrise the morning we were due to stay, we then visited angel bay before heading down to barmouth to the cabin. The location of the cabin is not hard to find when following the youtube video provided, we found it very easily and love how tranquil but still close to amenities it is. We arrived slightly early with plans to wait in the car if the cabin was not ready. Much to our delight the cabin was ready with the hot tub heated (a life saver after a long morning hiking). Our trip was planned to explore the Eryri area, we have previously climbed snowdon last year and therefore wanted other area’s to explore this time. The cabin offered a great location to be able to explore areas like Cadair Idris, little italy, black sands beach in Porthmadog. The barmouth beach is also outstanding. The cabin itself was clean, had all the basic necessities we needed and was cosy. The bed might possibly be the comfiest bed I have ever slept in (I need to know where the pillows and duvet are from!!). There are sheep and a horse on the sight freely roaming but unbothered. We enjoyed watching the lambs run around. There is also a small stoney beach bit where we had a peak to on our arrival and saw the largest jellyfish ever! The cabin we stayed in was called Maddawch (i believe i’ve spelt this correct), it is placed slightly uphill. There are some negative comments regarding this however, it is very small. We did not find this an issue at all during our stay and it being uphill provides complete privacy of the cabin.

A perfect location in a charming, vintage hotel. On our first trip to Wales we fell in love with the beautiful surrounding green hills, wide sand beach & classic architecture.

The property was not too difficult to find if you follow instructions given by host and not sat nav No WiFi (good for digital detox) Facilities were decent - hot tub/sauna

Caravan was spotlessly clean, beautiful bedding on the beds, mattresses were very comfortable. There was a field of cattle and sheep literally behind the caravan that my grandchildren loved. Mountain views did not disappoint. The directions and instructions were very clear and responses were instant. Excellent hosts and we will most definitely be returning.

The pod is really private with a large area of land to the side. We brought a long lead and weight to tie our dog to, so he was happy and we were hands free. The pod has everything that you need for a glamping experience. Exceptionally clean and tidy. Great response time from staff. The hot tub is amazing, but you just need to take time to get the hang of it and be patient. It is glamping, so bring a torch and be prepared for a cozy stay in the woods

I had very nice stay in Heulwen cottage for 10 days with mountain view (group of 4 people and 2 dogs.😏) Easy booking and very good communication with owner. Quiet area,5min walk to beautiful beach,10 min walk to town . Amazing location . Cottage itself is large , comfortable and have everything you need. I would recommend to anyone.

The location was excellent and easy to find. The view of the estuary is unrivalled and the sunsets are spectacular. The hot tub was a nice touch for extra relax

We loved our 3rd stay at Glanywerydd Cottage! Very comfortable and clean with everything you could need available. Very comfy sleep and lovely and warm. Beautiful Welsh cakes were left for us also. Situated right in the town with no need to drive anywhere and really close access to the beach, great to have the free parking pass for the car park too (Thank you) Trevor the host is very helpful and keeps you informed about everything. Can't wait for our next visit and definitely recommend!
