Self-Catering Accommodations in Agios Gordios

We stayed there in the second half of August and had a wonderful time. Photos here realistically represent the maisonette apartment that we stayed in. The staff is super pleasant and friendly. The hotel is located on the hill, but it is just a short walk downhill to the beach (5 minutes or less). The view from the restaurant is amazing as well as the whole ambiance and food. Parking for the guests is close by and we always had enough space to park our car. Would recommend and would definitely come back!

We stayed in a studio apartment on the first floor. Fantastic place, everything well maintained and clean. Great view from the balcony. We ate there a couple of times and food was really good too. Perfect location right on the beach, you can hop between the sunbeds on the beach and by the pool with ease. Bed really comfortable. Aircon works great although we didn't use it that much, being early May we just left the door to the balcony open and the bug screen across. Lovely to wake up to the sound of the waves on the beach.

Heartfelt thanks for the wonderful hospitality of the team at Hotel Angelica! On the very first evening we were welcomed with a traditional Corfu program, including lovely dances and an incredible show! The attitude of the staff was so friendly and naturally cheerful that we quickly felt like we were among friends. The location is great—just 10 minutes to the beach, along the main street lined with little shops and places to try all sorts of delicious food. For us, as lovers of variety, within 30–40 minutes by car in any direction we found amazing beaches! Some with stones for diving and climbing, sand mixed with pebbles, and then fine, silky sand—so fine that we felt like characters in Dune (near the lake in the south). Of course, we also had a pool—spotlessly clean—for lazy afternoons. For us, this was our first holiday visit to the island, and we were very happy with it. An amazing (family-run) staff at Hotel Angelica, a nice and peaceful location, perfect weather, tasty food—what more could anyone ask for!

Everything the pictures made it out to be, on the more quiet side of the island on the hill with great view of the sea, but if you want lots of cafes and shops, the beach is 10 min away. Very spacious.

Comfortable with a beautiful view

The location on the beach was lovely. We could sit on our balcony on our own chairs and then walk straight into the sea. On either side of us were many tavernas. Our 2 favorite on either side. At first we were concerned that we would be bothered by the business as many people in front of us on the beach and tavernas either side of us. But it didn't bother us at all. In the morning and evening the beach is empty and the tavernas near us were not noisy at all, we managed to park for free about a 200m walk up the hill but I think in season this would be harder. We had breakfast and lunch on our lovely balcony each day and after an beautiful sunset from our balcony, we then enjoyed the tavernas at night. We supped/canoed to the big rock on the south end of the beach and enjoyed there a small white beach with beautiful clear water for snorkeling. We also went all the way past the north end where we came across a small monastery on top of a rock, surrounded by turquoise blue water.

Had a really nice time. The apartment was very comfy and convenient, and the location is perfect, right in the middle of the town, so everything was close, but still very quiet at night which was great. The owners were very friendly and they also gave us access to the pool and bar in the building across the street, since it’s part of their properties as well, which was a really nice bonus. Overall a very pleasant stay, good value for money.

Very good position, 10 minutes to the beach, very clean and we had sandwich maker, cutlery, pans and even an umbrela for going to the beach. The bus station is at 2 minutes, also there are a lot of supermarkets. There are 2-3 places where you can rent a scooter, quad or car. It's one of the few places that has a parking space that is spacious and free. The beach is wonderful.

Nicely located at the top of the hill away from the madness near the beach below. The family ran business is awesome!! Always visible by the pool, easy conversation, that you felt like you were coming home each day/night.

The apartment was like new. It is very clean, and we always appreciate that a lot! The owner is so nice, always in a good mood and interacting with us. He also can offer you tips & tricks for what to visit or where you can book a tour.

6 min by walk and you are in the center of Agios Gordios. It was good to have 2 rooms separated, but close to each other. Clean, with parking for the car outside. Good wifi, A/C…no problems. Perfect.

Everything was perfect. Elena is the best host ever - she welcomed us with water, wine, and juice, and even surprised us with a lovely gift when we were leaving. The street where the building is located is cozy, quiet, and picturesque. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and the sea is just a 5-minute walk away. The apartment itself is wonderful - fully equipped for cooking, with a spacious and charming terrace. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Exceptional stuff, really nice people helping with every problem we had. We booked (by mistake) one room for 4 people, the stuff helped us to book another room with 2 rooms which made our stay way more pleasant. The cleaning was top, location is very close to the sea, bus stop and markets.

Everything! The bed, the shower, the furniture, the appliances, the balcony, the view!!! The whole experience was superb!

Enjoyed a serene escape with a 300m sandy beach that was almost empty, perfect for relaxation. The crystal-clear water was inviting and refreshing. The pool and terrace were great for accommodated guests. With no road between the facility and the beach, it was just a few steps away. The island is beautiful, offering plenty of sights and experiences. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.
