Self-Catering Accommodations in Logothetiánika

Imagine living in a Greek village on an island largely unspoiled by tourism. That is what we experienced when we stayed at this little house on Kythera. The house is beautiful. Upstairs there is a bedroom with a queen sized bed, an alcove with a desk and the space opens to a beautiful balcony where you can lounge and take in a peaceful view of the landscape. Downstairs is another queen sized bedroom, just off the entryway and living room. The kitchen and living room open to each other. The kitchen is fully equipped. A door leads to a walled garden with a large concrete table and benches sitting among beautifully landscaped plants and herbs. The bathroom shower has plenty of hot water and good water pressure. There is a washing machine and drying rack which we took advantage of. The interior of the house is designed to keep one cool. The concrete light colored floor and the masonry walls capture light and shadow from the outside but not the heat. Artistic, creative and yes, elegant. This home is a wonderful place from which to explore the island. It is about ten minutes from a beach but truthfully, the beauty of the island is that there are many beaches to explore from one end of the island to the other. Potamos is five minutes away and there are good tavernas there. We enjoyed eating at good restaurants throughout the island and enjoyed exploring historical sites such as an abandoned Byzantine village and a working monastery. We lounged in the sun and snorkeled through schools of fish. Each day of adventure brought us home to the lovely quiet cottage located in a village away from the touristy areas. For us it was perfect. What made it even better was the kind help John and Daca gave us. They love their home and the island and gave us good suggestions about where to visit, where to eat etc. We followed those suggestions and none of them disappointed.

The accommodation is located in a quiet village, it is clean, it has all the necessary amenities, and the owners are very kind and helpful. There are supermarkets and restaurants a short drive away, and you can reach any of the best beaches on the island in between 10 to 30 minutes.

That was a great room!! Very clean, tidy and spacious. There were Balconies were we enjoyed our meals. The hostess was friendly and easy to reach!!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Stone house. The facilities were excellent and our host was incredibly helpful. The location of the property was ideal. Potamos is just a few meters down the road and any beach is easily accessible.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, fully equipped house. The traditional style gave it a charming, authentic feel, and everything was spotlessly clean. The yard was lovely and perfect for relaxing in the quiet surroundings. The location was also ideal, peaceful yet close to everything we needed (super market, coffee shop). Highly recommended for a relaxing and comfortable stay!!!
