Self-Catering Accommodations in Avatoru

Hinamoe Lodge stay was amazing. Christian welcomed us and showed us the stay, they live right next to the property. Once you open the door you can directly see the lagoon, and sometimes you can even spot a black tip reef shark wandering close to the shore. The room has AC which was great, and we were cooking meals and sitting outside looking at the ocean. There is really good snorkeling right there with sharks. The kitchen is pretty much perfect and has everything you need, it even has a water filter and a microwave which was super helpful. The stay is also close to all the main diving centers, so it’s very convenient if you’re planning to dive in Rangiroa. Overall the stay was comfortable, peaceful, and the location right on the lagoon made it completely worth it.

Everything was clean, the bungalows were well equipped and the sheets were changed once a week. Perle is very kind and always available.

Perfect little private oasis. There’s a separate small building for the bedroom with air conditioning. The private bathroom and kitchen are in their own building with no air conditioning (we moved a floor fan from the bedroom to the kitchen). There is a picnic table under a thatched roof and a hammock, and an outdoor shower and clothesline. Laundry machines and pedal bikes were a great perk. We biked all over the island. If you’re a scuba diver, 6 Passengers dive shop is nearby (and they have a shuttle). We were able to wash and dry our gear fully before heading home thanks to the amenities at the tiny house. Hosts were responsive and helpful.

It was great having free bicycles at our disposal with safety vest and lights. The private beach was a big plus too. And the laundry machine.

Blue Lagoon Villa exceeded every expectation we had for our stay in Rangiroa. Jonathan and Kateryna don't simply provide a beautiful place to stay—they genuinely care about helping you experience the very best of the island. Before we even arrived, Jonathan took the time to recommend activities that completely changed our trip. Because of his advice, we booked Rangiroa Jet Ski Tours with Tapu instead of one of the typical boat excursions. It became one of the highlights of our entire French Polynesia adventure. This wasn't a "ride around the resort" experience. We explored places many visitors never see, including Bird Island, the Green Lagoon, Blue Lagoon, drift snorkeling at Avatoru Pass, and even swimming with large sleeper sharks. It was an unforgettable adventure that our daughter and I will remember for the rest of our lives. Jonathan also recommended Leon's Reef Tour, another outstanding experience. Seeing dolphins both on the way out and on the return made it one of Rosa's favorite days of the entire trip. The villa itself is exceptional. Everything is modern, thoughtfully designed, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The welcome amenities were appreciated, especially the little essentials we didn't even realize we'd need. We also loved learning that the property is powered by solar energy and batteries and that Jonathan is actively involved in coral restoration projects. It's wonderful to stay somewhere that genuinely cares about protecting the environment that makes Rangiroa so special. The location is ideal, placing you almost perfectly in the middle of the atoll, making it equally convenient to explore either direction. Then there's Kateryna's cooking. Do yourself a favor and book at least one dinner at the villa. Better yet, book several. The fresh fish—caught that very morning—was among the best we've ever eaten anywhere in the world.

Terai is a sweet host who wants to make sure everyone is happy. We loved staying at her beach house. All of the reviews on other sites say it all. My teen boys loved having kayaks. We biked everywhere. Itwas a fun trip.

I loved my little bungalow. It had everything I needed, AC, frig, microwave. The owners were so nice & brought me bread & fruit each morning.

Very peaceful and quiet. Great location. The host and their family were very friendly, helpful and thoughtful people. We would definitely recommend staying there. They also offer excursions. Thank you so much Hanna for all your help during our stay and your dad was a huge help with us not knowing any French. He is a very caring person. We appreciate you. Thank you both!

Fantastic home away from home. Everything we could ask for. A previous review complained about hot water but this was obviously resolved and was perfect. We loved being here and would recommend it to anyone.

The house is a beautiful gem close to the Avatoru pass. The pictures show exactly how it is and are a perfect depiction of how much effort Eliane, the owner, puts in managing the property. The house is so tasteful and beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, has two spacious bedrooms, two big bathrooms, a beautiful dining room with a fully equipped kitchen. The beds are very confortable. Complimentary Wifi works great. The patio in the backyard is so convenient to chill and look at the beautiful colours of the ocean. You can actually enter the water and have a swim if the waves are not too strong (stay in the turquoise). In Rangiroa the weather can be tricky and staying at a cozy house was a lifesaver for us. Small stores and snack points are not far from the property either on foot or by bike.

Great location and very clean/comfortable. The best part was the lovely hosts. They were so kind, welcoming, and generous. It felt like we were staying with family friends. Best hosts ever!

We loved our stay here! We found everything clean and organized. There was a bottle of Tahitian wine, 2 typical necklaces and very charming towels arrangement upon arrival! So lovely touches! We had almost all we needed to cook some meals and breakfast! It was a dream to have our meals on the porch table with the lagoon view! Everything worked properly. The house was silent and we slept very well! Cintia was always easy to contact and ready to help in any matter. Having bikes is huge bonus. We went everywhere in Avatoru with them. To reach the water from the house you have to walk over some rocks and reefs, so don’t forget your water shoes. Once in the water, you can have nice snorkeling experience! Also we literally walked from the airport to the house. It was very easy!
