This property was absolutely incredible. It was clean and welcoming. Wonder relaxing deck and a short 1-2 minute walk to the beach and close to an amazing beach side restaurant. Sonia and her staff made our stay incredible. We needed a late checkout for our transportation to the airport and she didn’t even hesitate to work with us. I would definitely stay here again. On the front side of the property is a genuine African village. It may look intimidating but the people were so nice. We never felt unsafe even at night. If I could I would give this place 12 stars. It’s not Sandals, it’s better. It gives you a true home feeling. Well done Sonia and staff.

Our stay at Moyo was absolutely wonderful. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and beautifully styled, with direct access to a stunning beach. Each morning we enjoyed delicious breakfast, always featuring a different fresh juice or smoothie, which added a lovely personal touch. There are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, and you also have the option to order in. One of the highlights was getting the fresh catch from local fishermen that they bring to the beach every day around 5 - 6pm. Our hosts, owner Sonia and hotel manager Daniel, were incredibly helpful and attentive, as was their entire team. They went out of their way to assist with our excursions and made sure we felt truly welcomed. I highly recommend Moyo to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat that offers both comfort and an authentic island experience.

A place that truly made our Zanzibar vacation unforgettable We chose this accommodation for its peace, space, and proximity to the ocean. What we received was so much more. For a family, it was perfect: a large, airy apartment where everyone had their own space, without any feeling of crowding or rush. The complex itself is small, intimate, and wonderfully quiet — the kind of place where mornings start slowly and evenings end with the sound of the ocean. The pool is fantastic, right by the ocean, and the cleanliness was absolutely impeccable, day after day. Everything is cared for with great attention and respect for both guests and the space itself. Breakfast was excellent — fresh, tasty, and varied enough to be a real pleasure every single morning. But what truly makes the difference are the people. The staff is absolutely wonderful — warm, attentive, present without ever being intrusive. And Fakih was simply exceptional: always available, always smiling, ready to help with directions, recommendations, or anything we needed. A person who makes you feel genuinely welcomed and at ease from the very first moment. A beautiful and unexpected bonus: we met families with children from Pakistan, England, Portugal, and India — an amazing experience for the kids, who had the chance to socialize, play, and naturally discover other cultures. The fact that the property is located in a quieter area was, for us, the true delight of the vacation. No crowds, no unnecessary noise — just quality time, calm, ocean views, and a deep sense of peace. It is the kind of place you leave with gratitude… and a clear desire to return. I wholeheartedly recommend it, especially to families looking not just for accommodation, but for a true state of well-being. 🌊🤍

The property is absolutely stunning - such a peaceful place with amazing surroundings. But what impressed us more was the hospitality of Davies and Paola. They were very flexible with early check-in/late check-out and payment settlement. Davies was always around for anything we may ask! Super attentive, hospitable, and helpful. We really felt like guests at someone’s home. We definitely recommend this option for stay in Zanzibar - the reality will exceed your expectations.
