Self-Catering Accommodations in Ninh Binh

Location: Very convenient and close to Tam Coc tourist area. It is easy to reach by bicycle because it is very near. The hotel is in the center of Tam Coc with many restaurants nearby. Facilities: Free bicycles and motorbike rental are available at the property for 150,000 VND per day, so you do not need to look elsewhere. The resort has a large swimming pool, lots of green trees, and many beautiful places for taking photos. Room: The room was clean and had a beautiful mountain view. The bathroom was clean and airy. I have nothing to complain about. Service: The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. Food: There is a restaurant on site, so it is very convenient to eat without going outside. The food was delicious, including the main dishes, desserts, and drinks. Breakfast had many choices, was served hot, and tasted very good. Overall, I was very happy with my stay at Tam Coc Mountain Ecolodge. If I have a chance to visit Ninh Binh again, I will definitely stay here again.

This was my favourite homestay in Vietnam! The couple that own and run this homestay are so warm and friendly, and the food was amazing and good value. The fresh vegetable spring rolls were the best I had in Vietnam so I would definitely recommend ordering them. Generally just felt very authentic but also comfortable with a nice pool and gorgeous views. One thing to note is that they don't speak much English so try to send simple messages if you're contacting them in advance of your stay, but it's really not a problem they know enough to understand your needs.

I would like to thank the Trinh family for their help and wonderful traditional Vietnamese hospitality. One of the best bathrooms I've seen in Vietnam, a warm, atmospheric room made of bamboo wood and a wonderful view of the mountains in the morning. A wonderful area for walks. Tasty and nutritious breakfasts and a very affordable price for budget travelers. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

The service was excellent. They were very kind, helpful in getting us transportation and accommodating in all our requests. Such as getting us scooters and doing our laundry - all at reasonable prices. Breakfasts were delicious and made when it suited us. The location was far enough away from the main drag so that it was quiet, but also close enough to the central area to walk back and forth with ease.

This wonderful property is located in a quiet valley near Tam Coc Wharf, with many restaurants and bars just a 5 minute walk away. The room was cozy and comfortable, making for a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were very welcoming. Highly recommended!

I had the best stay here. The whole team are so helpful and friendly and can not do enough for you. The rooms are spotless modern and mine was particularly spacious. Breakfast was simple but more than enough and even had some extras given to me to try. The location is great. 5 minute walk to the Main Street where there are plenty of places to eat drinks and have a good time. It is close enough to have a good night out but far enough away to be extremely peacful. I loved it here and would 100% stay again.

The location was fabulous. Very near the town but in a lovely quiet area. Nam and her husband and all the staff were just lovely. We stayed here for 4 nights and would have liked to have stayed for longer. Coffee Lan just past the homestay did great coffee and food. This homestay is is just fabulous!

I only stayed for the day because I needed a place to rest before my overnight bus. The woman who checked me in was very kind and provided me a comfortable room for a very affordable price.

Perfect view, we stayed 1 week. Breakfast dishes were amazing, very tasty. The family was helpful. We recommend to take a bike and ride around. Thank you!

The beds are very comfortable (they are soft which is very rare in Vietnam!), the rooms and the hostel in general is sparkling clean. The family is lovely and very helpful, they drove us to Ninh Binh several times. The breakfast was really good as well.

The property was excellent. I would wake up early before my kids woke up to sit outside and stare at the paddy fields. It was so peaceful. We traveled with 2 kids, 5 and 2. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We paid around 250, for the 2 room villa, which was very pricey for that area. The only drawback was, if you're travelling with little children, its a little unsafe since the villas have a pool. But the staff were so great, they were so loving, hospitable and very generous with their service especially bui nga, she went above and beyond to help us. She even kept my 2 year old with her so I could have breakfast in peace. The food was so good. It was a farm to table experience. A small feedback to the villa hosts, it would be nice to expand your menu a little bit more, if guests have to eat there every day. Since there are not many places to eat in the area. But their food is very good. I would rate this place exceptional for cleanliness, service, food, views and safety.

Best local homestay. Away from the crowds but near enough that it’s still convenient to go to the city center. The owner is really easy to talk to and can accommodate your requests.

Great stay!! Room was so nice, spacious and clean bathroom. Breakfast was prepared at the moment and so delicious. Also coffee was very good. Their cute dog welcomed us. Very nice and warm family. Really recommend this stay. Also you can rent a bike from them. Best stay so far! And very centric close to Tam Coc wharf.

The host, Luong and his whole family were extraordinary hosts. We have been traveling full time for 5 years and this was hands down our richest experience. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine served at breakfast and dinner. All aspects of the accommodations were impeccably clean. Quiet location outside the hustle of Tam Coc and Ninh Binh. 5 minute Grab ride from train station and easy access from Hanoi. Swimming pool, clean and refreshing. Gardens, quaint and bucolic. Great AC in a spacious, private cottage/room. Comfy beds. Small refrigerator, in-room coffee, soft drinks, beer, water and many more subtle comforts. The host has extensive and detailed knowledge of Vietnamese history, culture and natural resources in the region. He and his driver took us on a 2-day tour of the region, including the Cuc Phuong National Park and primate rehab center; The Trang An caves and mountains by boat; countless palaces, temples and pagodas from the 8th Century on, and so much more. Luong speaks great English and provided superb details along the way. This is not a crowded tour; this is a personalized, guided experience from a University educated expert with detailed local knowledge. There is zero pressure to use Luong’s services if you want to see the area in other ways. However, our 3 days with him were the richest we have ever had. Luong takes care of all the details (tickets, lunch, water, etc.) Luong also has two scooters and bicycles for rent for the adventurous types, and his wife provides excellent laundry services. The-Food-Was-Awesome!!! The cost….unbelievably inexpensive. Such a GREAT value. I normally don’t write reviews, much less glowing reviews, but An Phu Homestay was an exceptional experience.
