The apartment was absolutely perfect, very clean and with all facilities needed. The highlight of our stay was the outstanding costumer service from the host. I been traveling for 8 year as full time nomad and I don’t remember last time I got this type of efficiency! I loved everything about Evergreen (except that I didn't plan longer in Karakol this trip or make it there in summer!). Evergreen was in a quiet, greener area of the city but still a short walk away from the main sites of Karakol. The breakfast was outstanding and I loved the little nook in the guesthouse where you can sit and read. My room was comfy and everything was spectacular.

Tian-Shan Guest House is a recently renovated guest house in Balykchy where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities.

This is a clean, quiet well managed hostel. We had a private room. There are two big kitchens, plenty of bathrooms and a lovely common room with glodfish. It's hard to find by Google maps, bit a great location by the lake and the abandoned railway tracks. We walked to Muras, a great restaurant, in less than half an hour. Also walking distance to the abandoned Agitpunkt and abandoned port, and a beautiful pier.
