The house is excellently located and was spotless upon our arrival. The kitchen is well-equipped, but be aware that there is no washing machine. The check-in process was very easy, as the host was waiting for us downstairs.

The tranquillity and sights were outstanding, quite literally on the edge of civilisation. We were provided with a cot and highchair on request. Property clean and well maintained, and well equipped although having to borrow items between kitchens.
An English welcome pack would have been useful for information purposes, although Ana was very attentive and helpful in answering all our questions.

Greate location, 5 minutes from the main sightseeings. Very clean facilities. There is a shared bathroom that is very clean and updated. The bedrooms are plain but clean and cozy. A/C is located in the perfect place of the room and doesn't blow on you directly. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The kitchen is small for four people but it has everything that you need to cook breakfast. The host is very responsive. Mrs. Fatima is a lovely lady. A welcome drink was very appreciated after the long drive.

We liked the personal approach and introduction of the house. And also helped us orient us in the town.
Spacious, comfortable for the whole family.
Kitchen fully equipped with basic ingredients for a breakfast.
Washing mashine was also useful.

Nice premises with a private pool, garden and big balcony. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable.
Great place for travelers who like the privacy.
The host Helena was great and welcoming, though English communication could have been a bit smoother. But her son was available as well over phone. The welcoming wine was offered.
We enjoyed our stay, especially the nice sunsets on a big balcony.

The breakfast was just right. A good way to start the day. The timing was great and every request if we any was fulfilled.
The rooms were great alot of cupboard space.
The kitchen was very suitable for family cooking.

The best views in The Douro! We loved our stay here- immaculate presentation, 2 decent sized bedrooms with big shutter windows, excellent individual aircon. Kitchen had everything in it for a fabulous cook up. Huge deck for outdoor eating overlooking the valley. Friendly and helpful owners. Big clean pool. You definitely need a car. Overlooked Six Senses Douro Valley. We went there for a drink and felt very privileged to return to our own castle! Would definitely stay at Quinta das Murteinhos again.

Really lovely place to stay with a great view and wonderful hosts - we were met at the door and they gave us a bottle of wine, some Port and fresh fruits to enjoy. Communication prior and during the stay was excellent. The accommodation was clean and spacious; kitchen was well-equipped.

Spacious, modern 2 bed apt kitchen with all the amenities including a washing machine which worked well for us especially as we were riding motorbikes. Secure underground parking was a bonus. Good place to stop if doing the Douro or N2 . Excellent communication and easy check in
