We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is amazing. Incredibly calm, quiet, and perfect for unwinding. They offer scooters for rent and also provide complimentary bicycles, which made exploring the island very easy. There’s a wonderful restaurant nearby, Kaya, just a 10-minute walk away, serving authentic Thai food. We enjoyed it so much that we had all of our meals there. As a couple looking for a peaceful place to end our trip in Thailand, we couldn’t have chosen a better spot. I had seen some reviews mentioning that breakfast was served inside the rooms, but it seems they have already changed that since during our stay, breakfast was offered in a separate area. And finally, the staff deserves a special mention. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, making the experience even better.

Having the managers contact in the rooms was great as she was very helpful in organising motorbikes/activities. The breakfast was delicious and staff were very friendly. The tv has access to connect your phone and access streaming sites.

This was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life--rented this villa for a few days for a birthday weekend. It's a bit expensive, so we couldn't stay longer, but we absolutely adored every single second. The house itself is a dream, and the outdoor showers were such a magical bonus. They're completely hidden from you, so don't worry. The pool was amazing, the outdoor facilities were amazing, the whole experience was a delight. A wonderful woman came and made us breakfast every morning, and they arranged a five island boat tour for us. The house was well stocked, and there were bottles of wine that we could purchase. The most incredible thing was that the kind hosts brought over a birthday cake when they found it was my husband's birthday. It was so generous, and they made it such a surprise. So much thoughtfulness went into every detail. They were also highly communicating with us whenever we needed them. The land that it's on is tucked away from the main street, so you got a real sense of privacy at night. I could not love this anymore. We are very appreciative to our hosts and can't wait to come back.

A hidden gem! If you want to escape the macrotourism of Thailand, this is the place. A bit more inland from the Khao Lak coast Sawasdee Homestay is a family owned business with beautiful new clean houses and all the amenities. The owners help you with your stay with practical tips to do in the area and they do their own cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They speak English and French fluently. It was also possible to rent a scooter for 300 bht / 24hrs to discover the amazing nationals parks nearby. I would recommend this place to everyone!
