This is our favourite hotel in Horta. It’s a grand, historic place that is also a landmark for the sea port. Home of the transatlantic cable, the flying clippers, and sailors from around the world. It’s our 3rd stay here, very consistent , great breakfast, and perfect views of the harbour. It’s close to the ferry terminal , and to the beautiful piers that berth some of the most loved tall ships. Service at the hotel is outstanding. And don’t forget to have a swim in the lovely pool (indoor and out). We are already looking forward to our next stay here. Thank you to all the staff.

The boutique 4-star Hotel do Canal is located in Horta on Faial Island. It is just 328 feet from the beach and offers panoramic views of Pico Mountain and the bay.

Our stay here was magical - the location is incredible with amazing views and we had one of the best meals of our lives at Sellas restaurant located at the lodge. Can't recommend it highly enough.
