This was a wonderful condo right on the beach at Dauphin Island. The location was great. We were able to walk across the street to eat and shop. We were able to drive 5 minutes or less to Fort Gaines, the shell mounds, the bird sanctuary, and the sea lab. The pools were beautiful and clean. The beach was wonderful. If you have never been to Dauphin Island, there is a rather large area of natural dunes that must be crossed via boardwalk to reach the beach. It isn't like a lot of more commercial type beaches. Dauphin Island is more populated than it was 10 or 15 years ago, but it still has a great local feel. There are mostly locally owned businesses.

We liked the size of the condo as we have 4 kids. The amenities were a plus as well.
