It was the best hotel I've ever been too with such a large selection of breakfast food. The hotel is in a quiet place that is not next to train tracks. The service was excellent. Ishinomaki was busy that weekend, so I could only book two smoking rooms on Saturday night. I asked to change to a non-smoking rooms the next day and they made the change at no charge. The staff was happy to arrange taxi cabs for us.

This is highly recommended value hotel with really special setup. This is the first time I am sleeping in a hotel room with two doors, two toilets, comfortable two single beds. Our rooms come with breakfast, the hotel is walking distance to Aeon Town which has all types of pharmacy, groceries, supermarkets, restaurants and etc. Lobby area has a lot of vending machines for drinks, food, and free flow coffee and tea too. Checking on their hotel details and it's available in many perfectures. Will keep an eye on this hotel when I travel again to Japan.

The owners are lovely and welcoming. This may be one of the best ryokan where we slept in Japan. The Japanese room have a really good traditional bed. The 2 dogs may bark but a scratch on the head will turn them lovely as well.

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Hotel Sokan offers a sauna and a hot spring bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodations in Matsushima.

The restaurant has a fantastic onsen and breakfast/dinner buffets. The rooms are Japanese style with tatami and some of the rooms face the gorgeous waters of Matsushima Bay, especially if you are on a higher floor like I was. The hotel provides free drinks and alcohol at set hours. The hotel has a game room with ping pong, claw games, and a few pachinko machines, as well as a karaoke bar. A shuttle is also provided to take guests to the different train stations. There is plenty of parking. I found the price to be excellent value for this resort and what it provides.

Comfortable futon, large room, quiet. Public bath was in good condition. Breakfast Friday and breakfast buffet on Saturday were tasty and generous. Staff was exceptionally courteous. Hotel shuttle available for both train stations.
