The Avalon was centrally located to all the attractions we wanted to see in Kyustendil. Beautiful downtown area to walk about and plenty to see. There was no breakfast offered, but that was ok since there were plenty of options to choose from within a block from the hotel. We loved the balcony that overlooked the streets and it was so quiet during the night (we left the balcony door open). The weather was cool so we didnt' need to use the AC but when we first arrived. The room was spotlessly clean and was very neat, and comfortable.

It is so rare to see such a place in Bulgaria. I think this is one of two such places that I have seen in my life. The interior design is absolutely stunning. The staff is very polite and welcoming (ultra rare in Bulgaria). The food is overwhelmingly delicious. And the location is very well-connected to different points of interest.

Big room in good condition, everything works well. Hotel staff tried the best to speak in English with us! Decoration of hotel is traditional, even a bit old-school, and this is great, atmosphere is unique.

Our room was big, cosy and with a lot of light. The spa pool is really nice. We were allowed to stay at the spa even after checkout (we had a very late checkin). The location is really close to the Rilla lakes lift.
