Very convenient to everything in Kotohira. A bit of a walk from the train stations but next to shops and the start of steps up to the temple. Nice bicycle storage area! They didn’t seem familiar with takkyubin process but they took the time to learn it and got our big suitcase sent off to KIX. Bunk beds allowed three adults to stay in one room. A family of four would fit also.

Cute little cottage, and was cleaned once a day while we stayed there. Just down some steep stairs from the My Lodge Hotel and restaurant where you can have breakfast or dinner or a sunset view drink. My Lodge also rents e-bikes to get around the island.

First hotel I’ve been to where the bathroom is not a step up. AND the shower head has two settings, AND there’s even a rainfall shower-head. Never seen one in real life before so I had to take advantage of it!

I love all R9 hotels: they are reasonably priced, they are conveniently located, it’s always very clean, the bed is comfortable, the Wi-Fi is solid, the water pressure is strong, and so on!
