The location is great. Short bus ride to the train station. The views are amazing. The amount of bedrooms and bathrooms was ideal for a group of 6.

Beautiful view and clean property Very organized and clear instructions

You absolutely can't beat the location. It is nestled behind the Oberhofen Castle (with one tall, close house in between). We stayed on the top floor in the 2 bedroom apartment, and spent a lot of time on the large patio enjoying the view of the castle towers and peek-a-boo lake view. There were plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy the patio, and lots of beds inside (a queen in each bedroom, two singles in the main room and one is a trundle for a third single). The ferry terminal is just next door with a little cafe for coffee or beer, and you can sneak a peek at the ferry passing by Frank the apartment patio. A super convenient grocery store is right across the street. The apartment is about equidistant to two bus stops, very close and convenient. There is a 24-hour parking garage just down the street (Gemeinde Oberhofen am Thunersee). We paid 49 chf for one week. You'll need to create an account (we used the apartment address) at https://parkingpay.ch/. We had to wait until we had our rental car so we could provide the license plate. There was no gate or need to enter our information at the garage, since they had our license plate number they knew that we had a pass and left our car alone all week. The kitchen is cute and well equipped, and the owner provides same-day communication and is easy to work with.

We loved Casa Toscana. This is a three bedroom house and my husband and I didn't need this much space but we looked at each other and said "how can we not stay here?". If you have even the slightest artistic inclination, a whimsical attitude or simply appreciate the labor of love involved in creating this unique home, this is your place to be. Wandering through the house is practically a destination in itself. There are constant new discoveries of interesting things incorporated into the art. There are at least four distinct outdoor seating areas and all of them offer a wonderful place to relax. Jurg prepped a fire for us on one patio and it was a great place to unwind after a long day hiking. Jurg is a charming, exuberant, talented host who sincerely wants his guests to enjoy their stay. He is informative and welcoming in his communication. The location is an easy walk to Old Town and very close to the lake. Parking is immediately in front of the house which is great for those driving a vehicle. We always hope to make it back to wonderful vacation locations and Switzerland is beautiful and Lake Thun is gorgeous, but the driving factor to bring us back here would be this amazing lodging!

This was a perfect location, a good base for exploring around Lake Thun and also for pretty walks close by. It was also possible to pick up local produce from the the farms around. The hosts were superb, very generous and attentive, catering to our every need. The property is spacious modern and comfortable and elegantly furnished. Certainly recommend!

I like the facility and the hospitality. They made me feel home.
