Villas in Inari

The house is wonderful. It was just what we were looking for, a place a bit away from Inari, comfortable and for 5 people. The house is equipped with everything we needed, we have cooked every night without any problem, we have used the sauna, it has a dishwasher, television, washing machine, etc. The trip was mainly to see auroras, we did it from the garden of the house. The village lights are not a nuisance as the house is surrounded by trees. No problem to park the car at the house, there is plenty of space. Marko is very attentive on the Booking chat to answer any questions! It is appreciated that the owner responds so quickly. Finally, the house has feed for the two reindeer that come every morning to beg for food, very funny.

The chalet has a great sauna, awesome location, outside grill and terrace with great views. There is everything you need for your stay.

Satu responded quickly when we had difficulty figuring out the clothes washing machine operation, and with other questions. The location is perfect, overlooking Lake Inari, and with easy driving to all the activities we had booked. The house is very well-maintained, with lots of natural light. The views were incredible. We loved the large windows, and that we could see the aurora and beautiful sunrises from the bed. The sauna was perfect. The decor in the living room was very nice.

Great location for viewing northern lights as it is next to a lake. Quiet. It is far from town but that’s the price to pay for a location away from city lights.

Amazing location. We could observe aurora lights from the lake Paatari nearby. The road can be a bit tricky if the weather is bad (snow storm). The house is also beautiful. The Jacuzzi is very nice. The morning view is appeasing.

This place is a hidden gem surrounded by stunning scenery. The hospitality and food (optional as you can cook your own) were amazing.

This is a cozy place for a solo trip, especially if your main goal is to chase the Northern Lights. For me, the most interesting—and challenging—part was lighting the fireplace every day. It’s not so easy for someone born and raised in a city who has never had the chance to try it before, but it was absolutely worth it. As for the Northern Lights, there’s a lake right in front of the cabin that feels like your own private viewpoint. It’s wide open, with zero light pollution, so you don’t need to drive anywhere else to see it. During my four-night stay, I was lucky enough to see it every single night, which was truly amazing!

Amazing place, everything was provided even tiniest details were available, the view was incredible and worths visiting both in summer and winter, definitely one of my best stays I have ever had, I have been to enormous number of five star hotels and resorts all around the world and I would definitely say that my stay in Upea villa Lapin Kulta was definitely one of the best experiences I have ever had, will definitely come back

This place is absolutely magical! What Michaela and Christoph have build is incredible. The best stay you can book on your trip. This is where you’ll find the real feeling of Finland, away from the crowds, just you and nature. The place offers many private activities as well like ice fishing, private sauna, snowmobiling. We did snowmobiling with Christoph and it was a lot of fun. We will definitely be back! Those two nights made our whole trip

Beautiful location & view of nature (in our case snowy trees.) Modern, well-appointed with nice appliances. The heated floors were wonderful! Very comfortable beds. Lovely sauna and showers. Kimmo was kind and quick to respond when we needed him. Highly recommended!

This is our standard against which we will evaluate all other places in northern Lapland. Unbelievable. It has both a minimalist vibe while providing everything you need. We even approached Tero about buying the place. Superbly sited, quiet, northern lights on both the front and back of the house, a reasonably short drive to buy provisions in Inari or hike around Lemmenjoki.
