We had a truly magical stay at Alan and Reiko’s island villa in Teshima. The house is absolutely beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with every detail making it feel warm and relaxing. The garden is breathtaking — easily one of the most beautiful parts of the property — with incredible views overlooking the islands from above. Alan made our stay so easy from beginning to end. He welcomed us personally, gave wonderful local recommendations, and arranged e-bikes for us so we could explore the island effortlessly. He also went far above and beyond when we lost an item, even contacting the authorities to help us try to recover it. Everything about our stay felt special, peaceful, and unforgettable. We already know we want to come back one day.

The whole building is in nice condition. The beach is within a very short walking distance. Nice facilities (wholistic kitchen ware, entertainment equipments, etc). You need to rent motor bikes to get around if you want to go far, though. The host is very welcoming and accommodating, and willing to help.

Host Johnny was very helpful both beore we arrived and with advice for making our stay on the island very easy. He even picked us up from the ferry as we arrived after dark. Great suggestiosn for local retaurants and all the brochures/maps we might need. Johnny had the house nice and toasty for us when we arrived. The location of the house is perfect - only 10 minutes walk to the Kuzama yellow pumpkin and entry to the Benesse Museum area, and 20 minutes from Honmura Art houses along the waterfront. The local bus stops very close to the house.
