We loved the appliances as we cooked most of our own food. We’re a family of five and it’s rare in Japan to find accommodations that can seat everyone to eat at the same time so we loved the outdoor eating space. The detached shower house made post beach showers so easy and the outdoor shower even had warm water.

The room was spacious and well decorated, close walk to the beach, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook, and the staff was phenomenal. Having the pizza oven delivered to our balcony was so fun!

This was one of the favourite places we stayed in Japan. It was wonderfully secluded and quiet. The home contained everything that you would need for an enjoyable stay. The host is incredible and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We'd love to come back for a longer period next time. Thank you!

Incredibly clean and spacious. Much more modern than I expected. We were a group of 13 (4 adults and 9 children) and there was more room for sleeping if needed. We would definitely visit again. They had a blow up pool for the kids, surfboard to borrow and sand buckets. Beyond our expectations.

This was the highlight of the holiday - a beautiful, thoughtfully renovated kominka with real useability. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in, really nice utensils and ceramics. The giant Japanese bath was a pleasure. The futons were comfortable, and the overall feeling was so wonderful. It was wonderful to do laundry and hang everything outside to dry in the breeze! The valley is green and quiet, we took lots of local walks. And also easy to drive to the coast and nearby town to shop. The owners are so friendly and delightful and brought us fresh fruit and vegetables from their farm nearby. Would love to go back!
