We had a very warm welcome. It’s very quiet which is great in a busy city. Very nicely furnished, fabulous pool.

The place is beautiful,the interior furnished very luxuriously.the service is excellent.very delicious Sri Lankan breakfast served by friendly staffs. Only the price is quite high compared to a 4 star hotel in Colombo.the property should revise the price.

Everything I want was there and owner lady is in Singapore, but it seems like she was right there,took all my concerns and provided solution's, care taker lady was so good and hospitable and had a smile 😊 on her face all the time, looking forward to spending time in this beautiful ❤️ house

Staying at Cottage by the Lake in Thalawathugoda was truly the best experience of my lifetime! The rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained, offering the perfect level of comfort. The serene surroundings and picturesque views make it an ideal retreat for nature lovers It's like stepping into a little paradise. The owner is an absolute gem. So kind, warm, and accommodating, which made our stay even more delightful. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway close to nature with exceptional hospitality, this is the place to be!

It was clean and had all the amenties

The house was amazing and sparkling clean upon arrival. The host was friendly and supportive, making our stay even more enjoyable. This place offers unique characteristics as an affordable alternative to costly options in this area of the country. Additionally, every utility in the house was usable and working perfectly. We had a quality stay without any issues. Every amenity was in good order, and even the soap, water, and other essentials provided by the host were selectively awesome. We usually receive only small pieces of soap in most options at this level, but here, everything was thoughtfully provided.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience during our five-day, four-night stay. My whole family was so satisfied with everything, and we genuinely felt at home from the moment we arrived. The owner is truly an amazing human being — he constantly checked on us, made sure we had everything we needed, and genuinely cared for our comfort. As three females traveling together, we felt completely safe throughout our stay. We also happened to accidentally break a small piece of glassware, and he didn’t charge us or make us feel bad about it at all. He simply said it was okay, which we appreciated so much. The property itself was extremely well maintained. Everything worked perfectly — hot water showers, AC rooms, and all the kitchen appliances were in great condition. The entire house and all the rooms were spotless, giving us absolutely nothing to worry about. Overall, we had an amazing stay and are already looking forward to coming back again. Truly a wonderful place with a wonderful host.
