Location and hosting excellent

A truly lovely stay at Rosie’s Cottage Hideaway. Gay and John were outstanding hosts and incredibly friendly, responsive and thoughtful throughout. The cottage felt beautifully private and secluded, yet they were always just a phone call away if anything was needed. The cottage itself was immaculate, spotlessly clean and very fresh, which was such a pleasant surprise as some holiday homes can feel a little dusty. This one absolutely didn’t. The facilities were excellent and exactly as described, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with good-quality tea and coffee, and being greeted with fresh milk and a lovely selection of snacks and toiletries on arrival was a very thoughtful touch. The shower was fantastic, the bed was comfortable and having laundry facilities in the house made everything so easy. The internet was reliable and fast, which was a real bonus. The setting is just gorgeous with a beautiful view, stunning sunrises and a peaceful verandah and garden filled with birdsong, making it feel like a proper little retreat. Despite being just off the main road and right next to a corner shop, it was quiet, calm and very relaxing. It is only a few minutes’ drive to several beautiful beaches around the peninsula, which was perfect for exploring. All in all, a wonderfully comfortable, peaceful and well-looked-after stay. Guests are very well cared for here and would happily return. Thank you, Gay and John, for such a memorable stay.

Loved the bed, the quiet neighborhood, the friendly and quiet host, fast Wi-Fi, great nearby park with a short walk to the beach, everything was excellent.

Lovely place for a weekend, near beach shops/etc. Lockwood houses do creak in the night, but we were there during the cyclone and it held up well.

Our family of 5, with 3 kids, had the best stay at Ocean View, the location is so close to the beach and also to the village shops. The whole place was modern and clean. Every bed was very comfortable and having air con through the house made it nice and cool on some of the hottest nights. Two living areas was great too so we all had some space to relax. Would recommend to any family looking for a beach stay, short or long.

Location was perfect. It rained quite hard one evening and the windows leaked a lot. We used roasting pans to catch the water. The property manager did come out to the property which was appreciated.
