Villas in Monsanto

The terrace was my favourite spot. The typical rustic decoration and type of traditional architecture style is very charming. The view from the terrace is breathing and the location of the house is indeed excellent. It was a lovely stay.

This property is cozy and comfortable nestled in the center of this charming boulder filled wonder of a village. The property is a quick walk up to the castle and a fascinating stroll through the boulder laden streets. Eloiza is an amazing host. She met us at the town square and delivered our luggage to the property, a two minute ride and a five minute walk. It was raining when we arrived and she brought us delicious vegetable soup, home made cookies and delicious full bodied wine from the Monsanto region. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Eloiza gave us excellent suggestions regarding other places to explore in the area.

Monsanto is truly a place to visit and I wonder how this village ever came to be. Loads of history and charm and rusticness everywhere. Our accommodation, which was novel in itself ( low doors, sloped wooden beamed ceilngs & whitewashed stone walls) added so much character to this place. The housekeping couple who showed us in where so sweet and caring. It was raining cats & dogs and by the time we found the property we were soaked. They quickly got the wood fire going and showed up repeatedly at the door with more firewood and to check on us! Thankyou! There were tons of blankets for the beds and the kitchen had some hi end cooking equipment ( that could use instruction manuals) and loads of hot water. When the sun came out we went out onto the patio and enjoyed some wine as the sun was setting - fantastic views.

A wonderful unique experience. Quaint, cozy, with a phenomenal view. A perfect night's sleep.

Amazing old house in an amazing old village. This is a really unique place to stay. Large house with different levels, an unexpectedly funky floor plan, a surprisingly decent kitchen, right in the center of a one-of-a-kind village. There's a nice veranda with a beautiful view overlooking the surrounding countryside.

If you like tranquility, a very silent place, breathtaking view (the mountains around are very nice, especially in the golden hour of the day), this is the place for you. The house is very nice, very well equipped. The staff is very helpful and acessible. Will come back again for sure.

Easy to access and private. The owner was informative and helpful and I appreciated the quick response and flexibility. All amenities provided were great!

Great location, 15-20 minute walk up to Monsanto. Easy parking, modern amenities, and peaceful views. Snack bar, Mercado and restaurants all in walking distance.

We loved the stone house! The kitchen appeared to be fully equipped with all one would want or need. I liked the decorating touches which made it feel more like a home.

Very unique old house. Probably 200 years old stone house. Very clean. Interesting experience. Very quiet and cozy.
