The cabin is absolutely stunning—far more beautiful than the photos can capture. This authentic 100-year-old wooden cabin has been lovingly restored and thoughtfully modernized with top-of-the-line amenities while preserving its historic charm. We especially appreciated the incredible attention to detail and the carefully curated traditional decorations throughout the property. It reminded me of my childhood visits to my grandparents' home, and you can truly feel the love and passion the owners have poured into creating such a special place. My family from Florida was captivated by both the beauty of the area and the cabin itself. Staying here felt like stepping into a fairy tale, and it became an unforgettable part of our Maramureș experience. We loved watching the sunsets from the porch, listening to the sounds of nature, and simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Our children, ages 5 and 6, spent hours enjoying the play area and running freely through the grass. The homemade organic meals prepared by Mrs. Mariana were a culinary highlight of our trip. Every dish was delicious, authentic, and made with care. In my opinion, she deserves a Michelin star! The horse-and-carriage ride and visit to the farm absolutely made our children's day. They had never experienced anything like it and loved every moment. We got to pet piglets and calves, enjoy freshly baked homemade bread, sample smoked pork, and even try traditional pălincă. The cabin is also conveniently located close to the Mocănița steam train station, which is another must-do experience when visiting the area. The hosts are truly exceptional—warm, attentive, and always ready to help. They also provided a detailed guide filled with recommendations for local activities and attractions, which made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. I recommend this place wholeheartedly. It offers a truly authentic Maramureș experience, and we will most certainly be back.

We liked the location of the property, with mountain views and close to the city and the Mocănița train station. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Everything was perfect! One of the best places where I had accommodation. There are 3 bungalows, each having beds, private bathrooms and a terrace. The rooms have everything one needs for a few days stay: coffee machine, toaster, kettle and microwave. The bathroom is clean and equipped with a shower cabin and electric boiler for hot water. But what makes this place so perfect is the view you have from the terrace and on the window from the room. We stayed in the Casa din Stejar bungalow and I couldn't ask for more.

It’s a super cute tree house. We stayed with two children. The place is clean, the host is friendly. There were delicious local snack in the fridge:) the balcony has beautiful view. It is equipped with essentials.

Adorable! Rustic maramuresean looking cabin with perfect location , clean modern inside . Plenty storages, balcony with a view over town , diverse sitting areas outside, roomy cozy living room, pretty cool rustic outdoor oven on the front porch , big yard, kaufland ( grocery store) really close by . We gonna come back for the winter !!! Also the host nice and welcoming even on a cold ,late ,rainy night . Thx again !

This is an excellent location if you plan on visiting lots of the tourist attractions in Maramures County. Close to the main road, lots of shops around and safe parking spot. The house is very nice and cozy with a beautiful garden.
