Very clean and well maintained cabin close to various sites in Acadia. Short drives to the national park and hiking trails all within a few miles. Good response from the property managers with a couple of minor issues.

The view was insanely beautiful! I saw so many seals, jelly fish, deer, turkey, eagles and fox. I could sit on the deck and watch the tides all day. During high tide, the water it right up to the house, it was spectacular. The beach and rocks were so fun to explore. Loved the house, so clean and what a blast from the past! Beds were cozy and house was well outfitted. My dog loved it, as well. I will definitely be back next year! Also, Craig was super friendly when I had a question.

This home was perfect. I was staying with my friends and their children. One bedroom is downstairs (which was mine), and I felt like the setup afforded peace and privacy from the upstairs. The kitchen has everything you need, and the furnishings were comfortable; it felt like you were home. It is on a quiet street 10 to 15 minutes from the center of Bar Harbor, and I loved the serenity. I would recommend this place.

Our stay at The Cushman exceeded our expectations. The host was kind, professional, and quick to respond. We needed to quickly find a place to stay, and the host provided a smooth check in. The home is gorgeous, clean, spacious, and in a fantastic location. We walked everywhere! Each room was well decorated, and small touches like games (thanks for providing Rummikub!), a box of amazing toiletries, and plush towels made our stay feel like home. Our travel was during an unusually hot period in Portland, and the host made sure the AC window units were installed for our comfort. As a family of 4 adults, we had plenty of space! We would highly recommend staying at The Cushman in Portland Maine.

Everything is exactly as pictured and what you don't see in pictures is all the "extras" such as toiletries, hair dryer, binoculars (great for whale watching trips or bird watching while hiking), shopping bags (you must supply your own at stores here or pay for them), board games and more. There is A/C and ceiling fans in each bedroom and living area. The owner has thought of everything! This truly is a home away from home! Location is perfect walkable distance to anywhere you want to go in downtown Bar Harbor.
